  • I've seen some cute Pinterest pictures of tiny knitted/crocheted stockings that are numbered with a small sweet inside for an advent calendar.

    They're adorable and reusable!
  • Hello all, thank you for popping in!!

NOA welcome, still haven't gotten to your diary yet! I will get there sorry :o - yes I genuinely would walk through fire for her. Unless she tips her cheerio's milk on my fabric sofa again... :rotfl:

Apple Yes good point, there were a lot of factors going on yesterday and one was stress. Flu jab really making me feel rotten today. Every bone and muscle is aching, I have a sore throat, headache still lingers. Have had a long hot shower and feel a little more human but just been told by the dentist that I have two tiny fillings next week :(

Lucky & DFW - We are obviously definitely the best mums in the world ;) and we all have adorable little creatures to show for it.. Apple too. Mind I am sure we could all cheerfully strangle them half the time as well.

Belle, Apple, DFW - Advent Calendars. I am going to have to do something. I am debating a wooden boxes advent calendar, which I can plonk pieces of her dark chocolate into and she will love me forever, plus it is reusable and can be a part of the Christmas decs? She so rarely has chocolate that when she does have it she is hilarious to watch. No scoffing, just delicate little bites with glowing eyes and she can't close her mouth to chew because she is smiling so much! :A

So today as I said above, I feel rough as a badgers bum. Glad for at least some time in bed today, around various appointments. I was looking forward to the appointments slowing down next week but now on Monday afternoon Jelly has her very first dentist appt, and Tuesday morning I have mine for my fillings. They could have fit her in with me but I didn't want her first experience to be of drills in my mouth..

Have bought my nieces birthday present for November. £10, so less than half price Ted Baker perfume. It is light and sweet and perfect for a preteen princess who is just getting into all that make up and nails etc. I'm sure she will find something to hate about it in true teenage fashion. Because it is a gift and not a voucher I feel like I can spend less and not have to make up the money. Which is great!

Also bought Jellys Xmas gift from my sister as found a £6 off voucher for Smyths toys than ends today. Anyone else going to spend £25 in there? If so, "CAT6OFF" by the end of the day. Whilst I was there I bought Jellys final present from me/Him. A giant jump on piano plastic mat. Since she is all about jumping and musical instruments at the minute I thought it would be perfect!

One load of washing just spinning in the machine for a second time (I always double spin when drying indoors) and then hanging on the airers before I pick mademoiselle up.

Off now to do YNAB in the inbetween time. It is all back in the green now, but I want to push some budgets around.

    Laters taterz! :T

  • Jelly sounds too adorable for words! I love the idea of a reusable one - it also becomes a tradition. I got so excited when the same stockings me and my bro had every year came out on Christmas Eve. Plus Advent Calendar chocolate tastes rubbish - even the good ones. :D
  • My little pumpkin was very tired today...

How to wake her up? She fell over into a huge pile of dried dog mess outside school and grazed above her lip which broke my heart and turned my stomach in equal measure. She was disinfected like a sheep when I got her home!

Who lets their dog mess outside a PRIMARY SCHOOL? And leaves it there..

  • Oh, poor little pumpkin - couldn't resist popping in. How dreadful is that. I hate dog owners that don't clear up after their pets - they are the lowest.

She looks so snuggly - and very clean!

    Hope you feel better soon.

  • Hi guys...

Just had a look at that photo, and I (the little you can see of me) look like I have been tangoed  - disclaimer: I do not wear fake tan, tinted moisturiser or foundation. In fact today I have gone make-up-less for the entire day. So I have no idea unless it is just the difference between her shockingly pale skin and mine.

She slept from 3:30 to nearly 6pm in the end. I had to leave her mostly comatose with daddy and she apparently threw a right old strop until he finally showed her that I wasn't locked in my bedroom ignoring her. "She's gone! It's gone mummy!" and she was fine. She went to bed only half an hour late in the end and was flat out again immediately. Just been in to check on her after watching Lucky Number Slevin & shes got her hands behind her head, looking cool as you like. <3

Film was good. I feel pants though. I think for the first time since March I may be calling in sick tomorrow. The Osteo put me through some serious paces, 2 of them working together tonight and I feel like I have been beaten up. My arm is still pretty painful and everything aches including my head. In short, I'm poooooooooorly.

Had to pick up some bits from the shop tonight. My fourth 'shop' of October and I am not even in there yet. This is not looking healthy.

    Night guys xx
