Hi there lilt. Please don't think I'm anything awesome. Your injury is far more life limiting than mine. I'm not that strong. This thread and Greyings thread keep me going as everyone is so lovely.
I love sitting in bed and catching up on threads each evening. I get really inspired and cheered up by being a part of this other real world. Sometimes I wish we could all meet but even if that never happens I wish everyone well and happy! Nite all xxWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Awwww look at this proper love in :grouphug:
My laptop is dying, and fast. Tonight has been spent scooping all the rubbish off it, trying to make it more streamlined. The CPU is at 100% constantly. AKA frying itself. Have managed to turn off something that was using a lot but it puts me at risk of missing important updates. Either way, it is going , going, gone! (nearly)
Must sit tomorrow and upload newest music etc to my portable hard drive, pull all the photos off & generally empty it down in case the worst happens. Should I disappear, Gibby has my email addy if you get worried! Can use that on my phone! Just can't post on MSE.
New laptop is approx £700 minimum really. because I am rubbish and old and can't handle Microsofts sucky new Windows 8 at all. So I refuse to spend out £450 on something I hate when I can increase it a bit (with money I have earned towards it) and get something I will love. Still it is against my MSE spirit to spend so blatantly when I could do it much cheaper.
Night all xx

Aw, Lilt, there's nothing worse than when a laptop gives up the ghost - I get so panicked. If you can live without one then definitely best to wait and save up for the one you really want rather than buy a cheapo (relatively!) one for the meantime.
Have you uninstalled everything you possibly could and made sure as little as possible boots on start up? Also, the obvious, but make sure it stays cool on a tray or table rather than on your lap/a cushion as that will stop it melting itself/burning the fan out!0 -
Hi Lilty
Great to hear about your aspirations. Go girl I know you'll do it.
Definitely hang on for the imac if you can. Good thinking.
I've been stuffing chocolate too. It's great
Have a lovely evening. X

Bahahaha!!
I wrote a ginormous reply to your earlier messages Supersaver & Belle along with the whole saga of my mortgage and then hit some random buttons, up popped all the coding for my internet browser at work and !!!!!! away went my tale.
So here goes. I have apparently been defragging once a week since I set it up to do that on my laptop in June 2005....so... my laptop is 9 years old! It needs a blimmin birthday party, bless it. Anyways I am currently removing everything possible but I appear to have hit a snag. My iPhone refuses to back up, and I cannot seem to get autoplay to pick up the several thousand photos and take them off, so I can install them on the spare hard drive.
Have turned off a load of windows services so this might be a direct result of that. Off to google I hop.
Regarding the mortgage... a VERY long story short is that when I split with my ex in Feb 2009 after about 18 months that were seriously bad, in so many ways, we lived together at the house which was in negative equity (Bought it and 6 weeks later it dropped 20k in value overnight) so we couldn't sell and couldn't afford to live separately. After 6 months I gave up, packed in my job, and moved 250 miles away... We agreed I would stay on the mortgage for 2 years as we had a fixed rate ending then, and then he would at that point get his own mortgage on the place, pay me anything that he owed me of the pittance we agreed, and take me off the deeds. It is now nearly 6 years on, and I am still on the mortgage. He still owes me £2,300.00 which I will never see and have given up hoping for, and I haven't spoken to him since 2012 when he called me a lot of names for daring to have a baby 3 years after we had split up. He also blames me for a loan we got out in his name, to pay off his extortionate car finance and to buy a boiler and get it installed in the house. Apparently I just spent this money on clothes and stuff and walked away leaving him with the bill.
So... Yes, I technically own a house. I bought when I was only just 20. Moved out at 23! Messy situation.
The reason it has come to my mind is, speaking to my best friend, whose husband is Ex's friend (they introduced us) ex is apparently moving to Southampton and the house, which has been sat empty for more than a year may finally be sold. Which he will need my signature for. He hasn't had a way of contacting me since shortly after his rant in 2012... :rotfl: so he will have to go to my mum to ask for my details... as friends have been asked not to give it!!!
Hugs!!!

Fantastic news about the house as it will have come out of negative equity. So I hope he will owe you some of the surplus!! Absolutely Knackered so going to bed now. Tomorrow is freaky Friday at school so my year nine and tens are having home made chocolate brownies made by DD and watching some of a film as a reward for hard work. I love them!!
Sleep well! XxWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!
