It stops it from being as sticky and keeps it for longer
I keep it in a ziplock bag in the fridge and as it has cream of tartar in it lasts for weeks

Ahhhh... shower, silent sleeping child, apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair, and a bit of coconut oil to swish through the ends.
Caved and took painkillers as was all a bit too much by 6pm. Not really done anything, so will have to repeat later and hope for a better night for all.
Just posted up on the challenge thread my wishes for the month and thought it pertinent to add it here too...

Lilty what does cider vinegar do to your hair I have only ever cooked pork with it, I'm intrigued as my hair could do with a little attention...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Oooh Westie, it is fab!! Not something you want to do every time. Every few weeks, or it can dry your hair, for obvious reasons.. it is acidic. But what it does it clarify your hair completely, screw expensive shampoos to clarify. It just strips down all the build up from shampoo and conditioner, the minerals in the tap water etc. It leaves your hair really shiny and soft, and no need for any products to detangle.
If you use about 30ml of cider vinegar in a jug of cold (sorry yes, cold) water... and wash your hair then rinse it, (choose whether to condition it afterwards or not - I've tried both ways and it does the same thing as far as I can tell) and then once you've finished the rest of your shower, tip your head forward and slowly pour the vinegar water mix over your head. Start at the very underneath, and use one hand to pour and the other one to rub it in. Eventually your whole head will be coated (I try and dip the ends of my hair in the jug midway through and swish it aroundand then just rub it in gently. It doesn't smell the most attractive but by the time it dries, it doesn't smell at all. You don't need to rinse it out, just squeeze and wrap your hair in a towel. I just pop a splurge of coconut oil through as it is the only oil proven to penetrate hair strands due to the chemical breakdown of it. (long chains!) and that soaks in overnight. Voila, beautiful soft shiny hair.
One thing to note, is that this has a similar effect on dyed blonde hair as does chlorine. It may go a bit green. Only dyed, not natural.
Also if you have dyed your hair with red/plum dyes, it tends to make these leak out rather faster than usual.I still used to do it when my hair was dyed, with no real issue. Just a slightly alarming tint to the water

Oh Lilty you will never guess what I have just done ...... opened another current account online and they offered me a credit card. ME who others wouldn't touch with a barge pole..... So being a good girl I have opted to take the CC with 0% balance transfers for 26 months and will transfer only and pay down. I am just so excited that I was accepted. Your behaviour is rubbing off on me.:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Lilty thanks got that instruction I will try that out, I have natural blonde hair so no worry about any greenage, my hair is very thick and tend to go very straw like so hopefully this will help once a month.
Billie well done on the CC balance transfer what account was it you opened? Bank account collecting can be quite satisfying.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. If you don't mind Lilty I am going to send you my thoughts and figures by pm. I think I know which way to do it, but you are such a wiz I would like to run past you?
It's N'wide, Westie. I have had a savings account with them for some time. I have opened a Flex account, said NO to OD, and as I say was very surprised when they offered a CC, but an option of 0% for 26 months should help out loads. :T
This bug is catching...... Levi you next xx.:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0 -
