Poor little Jelly! I got quite a lot if those up to the age of five or six. Always best to treat with antibiotics so the kidneys don't get scarred. So the doctor and you have jointly done the right thing. You are a wonderful mummy.
This week once the shop bought bread has run out me and DD are baking our own inspired by you!!
Nite nite all. I'm a bit pooped and need my sleeps! With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Hopefuljoy bless you I hope you get a good nights rest. I will be going shortly as I have heard NOWT from the Dr's, and will be ringing up at 8am tomorrow if I have heard nothing overnight. I am kind of expecting similar to the last time I called out of hours though.. call at 2:10am
I really hope you enjoy your bread making experience. I am not exactly the best kneader in the world, although much improved recently thanks to pound after pound of play dough...but it is a great feeling to know that if you run out of bread you can just knock one up right away. I checked the loaf tonight, and there is enough to make Jellys pack up in the morning, but then I will need to make a new one, so I will have the luxury of making it in the morning and sniffing it all day
nothing quite like it!!
As to the UTI's I am on a permanent low dose of antibiotics to keep them at bay. With my (scuse my TMI again) endometriosis, unfortunately I get it growing inside my bladder amongst other places. This causes a monthly cycle of issues, and scarring which gives me real problems with UTI's. I can go from nothing wrong to bleeding and rolling around on the floor within 4 hours. Hence me knowing just by Jelly crying and squirming the other night what was going on.... Which is why I feel anything but a good mummy right now. I left it from Friday when she first showed signs of being uncomfortable... and just plastered her in canestento be fair, she has been 90% fine ever since, but seeing her in obvious extreme pain and discomfort tonight really made me want to cry. And now I want to punch the doctor a bit too.
She's been asleep for a few hours now. And no calpol required so that is still on standby for later.
Right. Quick scoot round to see if I have missed anyone and then will call it a day.
Sleep tight all xx

Oh poor Jelly, I've only ever had one UTI & it was so horrible, I hope you hear from the Dr soon & that the wee soul manages to get a good sleep.

Aw poor Jelly. I have scarred kidneys so I really do feel her pain.
I leave my bread to rise in the oven on a very low temperature, around 50 degrees. It seems to work okay.
I hope Jelly's well and you managed to get your relaxing ynab day.

Haha!! October it fits me perfectly! It fits a lot of us I think!
Sholly I feel for you hun. Not a nice thing at all. I had pregnancy related hydronephrosis in both kidneys and now they keep an ever watchful eye on me in case the function drops again. Hence function tests. Even something as simple as not drinking enough for just one day can send mine into a really painful tizz!
So... feeling like a bad mummy. Jelly is at nursery. She is perfectly fine, happy, nursery told me to take her in when I called them to say she wasn't going in, and promised to call me if anything was wrong at all... but I have to take her to the doctors for an appointment at 4:15 because the 111 out of hours service failed us entirely. The duty doctor never phoned me back and the reason for this, I was told when calling desperate to get an appointment this morning (and getting cut off twice thanks to my mobile microphone being completely dead it would seem!) is that the surgery was crowded with people seeking urgent appointments (5 minute slots for anyone who turns up at the end of surgery each evening between 5 + 7!) so they forgot about me. Oh great. It is a bliddy good job it wasn't something more like meningitis... I didn't even get an apology. Just an 'oh you called 111 at 6pm, we're really busy then'
Anyway she has obviously got through the day ok. But I still don't feel like a very good mum.
My chest is now painfully sore and I am struggling to breathe, so I am going to ask him to check my chest and see if he thinks I have a chest infection. Wish I could kick it on my own, so may just keep quiet. Hate antibiotics and recently have had so many I am close to developing immunity.
Not managed to get much done today and not been able to relax either. Have got my Halifocks paperwork sorted out, and am now back on internet banking, cooked poached eggs on toast (but not eaten the toast as not feeling hungry) and done another small shop to pick up the stuff I couldn't get at Mr L or could get cheaper at Mr A. Called NP0wer and they said it could take another couple of months to deal with the meter reading issue between the change of meters. So some credit (About £30) back from there at some point in the next couple of months.
Other money related issues. Totally blew the shopping budget but have now stocked up on the things I was missing in order to make dinners from my cupboard stock. In reality the shop will cover me for half of next month, other than the fresh veg and fruit, so I think I should be fine next month. Still it has been a speedy January and I need to rein that in.
I am going to put my TSB card away. Twice already I have used it for purchases to extend my meagre bank account. This is just draining the savings I had managed to accrue. I will build it back up this month and try to stack more on next month as well. Two months of C Tax is nearly £200 across there. No hair cut to pay for until March so thats a welcome extra £35 between me and Jelly.
Reminds me. My hairdresser is pregnant, and has decided not to come back to work afterwards as it will be her second and childcare is impossible. She will possibly go mobile instead but she has said she will pass me across to her colleague once she goes on maternity leave. Now I like her a lot and her colleague is very good too... but the salon is very expensive. Granted my hairdresser has finally fixed the horror that was my hair when I walked through the door after years of a mobile hairdresser doing unimaginably bad thinning jobs. It has taken a year but my hair is now finally where I want it to be and just needs to be kept healthy and happy. What is the etiquette? the salon is one I must walk by to go shopping... I pass it all of the time. Am I better off keeping going, or should I try and switch to someone cheaper? Such a see-saw.
Anyway, off to pick up my baby girl, take another post nursery trip to the park for much swinging, climbing and sliding, and then over to the doctors. Must remember a drumstick lolly for bribery purposes.
Tonights dinner is yet again the fantastic chicken and chickpea curry I made. Greek yoghurt, coconut milk, ground almonds and much spice powder really make it something to be proud ofalthough I have to admit, 6 portions and nowhere to freeze it.. I might get a bit bored! xx

Mrs H!!! - Cross posted, I took so long! Sorry! I am ok flower. I can't shift this chesty cough but I feel fine, just look like a knackered fright that has been dragged through several hedges backwards and possibly run over.
Popping by to see if you're better!! xx
