You are still Wonderwomam, high black boots, cape and tiara. Even if you wrap yourself up in the cape and snuggle down!

Hoping you both sleep well xx

  • Billie you see you have done loads ;) me, not so much!! I don't like tuna bake. The first thing I ever cooked in Home Ec class was tuna bake. I got as far as opening the tin of tuna and had to be rushed to the hospital :rotfl: tin openers have never been my forte. To this day I have a huge scar across my thumb, disrupted nerves and circulation. Not fun on cold days! I've never made it since... or then really ;)

Lucky I have decided that I am just going to keep jelly at home forevermore and never let her go out anywhere. And bathe her in dettol...! ;) Hope you don't catch DS2's germs. They sound very scary, and my first thought was that his reaction was very similar to my sisters pre-seizure when we were kids... So glad it is just a bug of some kind! xxx

apple I am definitely snuggling down in my cape now ;) have got to mail you! Jellytot needs to apologise to you & DD ;) but I am fixing it!

As for Jelly, not a peep has been heard all night. And while I had an *up* moment. (Strange as I usually go downhill morning and evening but this time I was hyperactive at these times... I have done this:29axxzo.jpg

Tomato, red pepper, lentil and cannelini bean soup. It is currently in concentrated form, and will be thinned out a bit with vegetable stock, so I would say there is about a third of that pan to fill again once it is thinned. Plenty! Stores easier in concentrated form too! And homemade bread. My flat smells of warm bread. I am deliberately leaving the doors open to keep smelling it as I go to sleep!

Now I feel a bit more positive.

    Today I have:
    - Emptied the fridge of nasties and scrubbed every bit of it until the cardboard from the chocolate eclair box from a few months ago that stuck to the back has gone, as have all the random scuffs and gooey bits. Then refilled it with the shelves stocked in a much more organised fashion. I keep looking in there ;)
    - Scrubbed the kitchen
    - Done 2 huge loads of pots, dried them and put them away
    - Sorted out Jellys toys and FOUND THE 'W' :j:j:j from her wooden alphabet set. I have however now lost the 'e'
    - Put a load of washing in the machine, but haven't turned it on... lol
    - Completely emptied 5 years worth of paperwork from my tin, separated it into one of 30 categories and put it in plastic wallets then labelled it
    - Baked a loaf
    - Made homemade gnocchi with pasta sauce from scratch for dinner
    - Made a huge vat of soup
    - Read Octobers diary
    - Played with Jelly, had lots of hugs and snuggles in bed and brushed her hair without tears

I would say, all in all that wasn't a bad day.

    Night all.. xxx

  • I would say that was a blinking marvellous day! Well done you.

Soup/bread looks awesome, sound of dettol baths not so much, but I get where you are coming from. I also thought DS2 was going to seizure, he was holding his hand and mouth oddly which reminded me of DH's seizures. Boo to temperatures!!!

Blimey Lilt, if that's what you do on a not feeling well day...amazing is all I can say! :T

For sneezing and coughing and not putting your back out, holding a pillow to your stomach might help?

I'm off to the H@lifocks this week to open the 6% Reg Saver for DS complete with his passport, birth certificate and a utility bill from within the last 3 months - the latter is most tricky as everything is by DD and online.

I'm not sure they wanted my money either as with no Saturday appointments available and first one during the week being 10am, I'm having to skive from work for an hour or so. I shall share my disgust with them in person :D.

Food looks yummy and that's one sparkly clean hob :D

    Have a lovely Sunday :)

  • Lilty!

I feel shameful now as I didn't even do half the things I said I was going to do last night and I am fit and well! Not to mention the fact that my list was probably tiny compared to yours!

Thank you for reading my diary. You can really see that you are not a waffler as I most definitely have that title ;).

I hope you and Jelly have had a good sleep and you both have a fantastic Sunday!

    October xx

Yummy looking food Lilty and thank you for your kind comment over at GP's diary. A couple of sorry looking leeks to be used here, so it will be OH's fav of Leek and tattie today. I am envious of your bread making skills, mine is so hit and miss that I use the Panasonic most of the time for the whole thing, but if I want something more exotic (olive and pumpkin seed is amazing) I let the machine do the mixing and then just do the easy bit myself:o

  • Hello my chums!! Just popping in to say I have stumbled across a really moving diary. It's by Levi and is called really feel like I'm going to die or dying. He is a single dad, struggling with depression, trying very very hard like we all are. Just wondered if some of my lovely chums might pop over and lurk, give encouragement?? Hope you won't think I'm being presumptuous!!

  • Hello all!

Well I have answered the reason for my feeling a bit rough. I have got a sinus and possible chest infection. Whoopsie! Off to the doctors in the morrow to get the right gear to fix me up. Hate sinus infections. This one is nowhere near as bad as the last one but then I know what it is this time and am taking all steps to stop it becoming as bad as it was last time.

Hopefuljoy I shall pop in and say hello to him of course. Thank you for letting us know! We all need the support on here! xx

Lucky I didn't want to say it on your diary when you first said about it, but that was precisely how my sis started her daytime seizures. We both had benign focal epilepsy, but mine presented at night and needed no drugs to take me out of it, and hers in the day and she wouldn't stop without meds. She would say she had a funny taste in her mouth, forget how to use a toothbrush and get very clumsy and stagger like a drunk clenching her fists and jaw. A very frightening experience as her 10 year old sister at the time, and just as awful for you as a mum with the prior knowledge from DH. So happy it turned out to be otherwise. My brother had a virus attack his heart muscles and cause the exact symptoms of a heart attack recently, at 40. Viruses are crazy and highly unexplained things. Hope you are feeling ok! And that DS is better! xx

Greying you are welcome here anytime my love. I have no lime marmalade but I would happily buy/make some for you to visit any day! You would have loved my hour birdwatching in my garden today. Sat in the window, notebook in hand. I had a beautiful Jay visit :T though I could not get a picture where it looked anything other than a very large vaguely pink sparrow :rotfl:, several of the bluet!ts that live there, a great t!t, 4 magpies, endless seagulls and sparrows, a male and female blackbird, a thrush, 2 wood pigeons, 8 pigeons & a dove (and a partridge in a pear tree :rotfl:). I was sad not to see a Robin or Jenny Wren but there is so much foliage they could flit about unseen. For a city garden that ain't half bad eh ;) I am so lucky to have such a large expanse of foliage and greenery at the back of my flat and even more so to be on the first floor and able to look out over it all.

maddiemay you inspired me with your soup as I had all the ingredients and no idea I could put them together ;) as for the bread; it is only my second ever loaf. I have never baked bread before this and I think I may actually have a knack for it which is surprising me! I guessed the measures for salt, sugar and yeast as they were in teaspoons and I don't have a normal teaspoon in the house. Mum told me that it was a pretty good guess since it rose so well and was so soft and light! Thanks for giving me the bug for homemade stuff!! (Same to GP!)

October - pshaw I didn't do that much that isn't normal household stuff. I just needed to see what I had done to make myself feel a bit better. Try writing down all the unconscious chores you do each day one day ;)

Sholly mmmmmm melting moments!! Nom! :D Hate crumbs in the bed! BF won't be impressed ;) but sounds like a lovely Sunday! Get well soon!!

Ali awww thanks! I despair that Jelly never sits still, ever unless she is really ill. Thinking about it today, she obviously gets it from me. I struggle to sit still unless physically incapable of doing anything else. I used to aways have music on in my ears at work to keep me sat still otherwise I can't concentrate ;)

Don't forget the R85 form for DS too. To save the tax as long as he earns under 10k. xx

Back later but right now I need dinner! xx
