Oh Lilty hope your mojo returns soon, Jelly gets well and you don't fall asleep in the cinema :rotfl:

When DS was small I was told there was 72 different cold viruses to catch  nearly brought myself a mask for going into nursery to keep their multitude of germs at bay :rotfl:. You really need some proper R&R (and unbroken lengthy sleep).

I truly sympathise with the back - ended up with emergency surgery on my lower spine when DS was a similar age to Jelly, though my parents moved in for 6 months (pre and post op) and DS went to nursery full time.

Dodgy hugs :grouphug: and hope all improves tomorrow. :)

  • Wow you wander off for a bit and look at all the visitors!!

Thanks everyone for the lovely wishes. Have just spent 2 and a half hours trying to get a distraught Jelly back to sleep. All she would tell me between sobs was 'it's sore' - cue various limb poking, medicine administering, trying to get bonjela in her mouth (she bites!) and eventually she settled down, but in my bed, ON ME. I thought the days of nine moves to remove myself from underneath her without waking were over, not least because I am pretty much physically incapable of such moves at the minute.. but I managed it finally... went to eat and came back to a small so completely zonked I could have dangled her by the ankles to get her into her own bed. I did not do that, but employed a more normal carrying method after dragging her across my bed by the ankles so that she was in the right position ;) lol.

Could say a lot about the going to work/illness/bad back. But it is nothing I can change without losing £80 odd a day. So yes I have picked up the bug, and no my back is no better. Thanks guys :) xxx

Barney with Him today over me pointing out realistic flaws with his parents plan to come over here and take Jelly out tomorrow. 1. She is poorly and close to a chest infection. 2. It is below freezing. 3. Operation stack, fires in tunnels, 20 mile lorry tailbacks, all are causing chaos around us.

Apparently I am just on a downer about his parents so he isn't talking to me. He can do one at the minute.

Anyways in other news I am going to win the lottery; I've decided it is best for us all if I do. ;)

Off to sleep to come up with the right numbers. Night! xxx

  • Don't forget your old pal Lucky when you win :D.

I have had a similar evening with my littlest dude. He woke up less than an hour after going to bed and was wailing about spiders in the bath, sore eyes and his 'idiot bed'. He wanted to get into my bed but we compromised with me getting into his with him (ie I forced him to lie down!!). Cue ninja stealth moves to get out when he was asleep!

Sorry about HIM being a plonker. Your concerns sound reasonable to me Xx

  • Lucky I dreamt about you last night :o:o:o - I kid you not, I drove a caravan to Newcastle to give you a credit card which I had credited with £15,000.00 for trainers. :rotfl: - forgot about that till just now. Mum isn't the only one with mental dreams.

And my laptop changed ninja to 'nine' moves :rotfl:

I'm always reasonable me ;) xx

  • Slight overkill on the credit for trainers Lilt!! £30 would do :rotfl:. Awesome dream though! You are welcome to visit any time, no credit card necessary!!

Nine moves made sense! Honestly I had to make at least that many tiny movements before I was free :p. Xx

  • I think I would genuinely need to give you that much money in order that you would spend £30 of it on yourself at all... :p

Nine moves would have been about right for me aswell. At one point I was crawling :rotfl:

Ps I don't own a caravan.. Especially not one you can drive. But if I ever win the lottery I will buy one just to deliver stacks of cash across the country to all my lovely MSE friends ;) you're at the top of the list Lucky, with some fab others!! Xxxx

  • Aw, thanks :D. I often think along the same lines, you lot on MSE would definitely get a share of the wealth if I won. Can't think of a more deserving bunch Xx

  • It's funny you should say that. One of my ways to get to sleep is to think about what I would do with the money if I won the lotto. I have recently been thinking how I could help all my MSE friends too. :)

    Aren't we a lovely bunch?

Lilty, I hope you and Jelly are getting better. Having been ill all through December and into January, I know how miserable it is. Added to that your poor back, I can't imagine how much worse it feels.

I had a massive barney with my OH yesterday. I think men just haven't got a clue full stop.

Wishing you all the best today!

    October xx
