I've just been trying to work out how to do all I wanted to do tomorrow before parents evening and about 2 minutes ago I realised that I don't need to rush to the bank before shopping tomorrow, there's a bank opposite the bus stop I need to get off at to go the parents evening :o So if I do need to go the bank (I need to check balances tomorrow morning as bills are due left right and centre) then I can pop in before going through to school ;) That in theory means I can get an 'all bus' pass tomorrow and do some running around in the morning, home, bath, out to school via bank, home and put my work order through before the deadline. :D

Going to get my order onto the system now, contact a customer who said she had an order for me but hasn't given me it yet (she's got a lot on so probably forgotten), put the leftovers from tea in the fridge then I'm off to bed. :D Hoping I don't get woken up mid-dream tomorrow morning if I head off a little earlier :o

    Aww dusty, have a (((hug)))

I've done a spot of sewing. I've taken some leftover fabric from when we had the memory bears made from DH sweaters. I've made a little pouch / keyring for MIL. It has a crystal inside, that's supposed to help with inner peace and emotional healing. I hope she likes it. It might be for Xmas or maybe her birthday a few days earlier. Need to redo the inner seams to strengthen it, but will only take 10 min.

  • Well, in a last ditch attempt to take control of our domestic chores, I came across this post and thought, this is exactly what we need. So here goes with my progress so far:

    Monday
    Clear the floor of clutter
Wipe the mantle and coffee table
Give the downstairs loo, sink etc a good clean
Also wallpapered dining room wall (having had samples up for over 6 months!)
Did swish wipe of kitchen sides and floor, all night-time jobs

    Tuesday
    Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors
    All night-time jobs

    Wenesday
Strip the bedding and get it washed
Did 2 'ironing' washing loads (low spin, quick tumble dry, shaken & hung up straight away = NO IRONING!)
    Put up some Christmas decs
    Ordered Christmas presents
Best of all - got OH to sweep kitchen floor whilst tea was brewing!

Busy day tomorrow (as always) but will face our Room of Doom and hopefully make some progress!
  • Morning Flyers,

Hope all are well and healing thoughts to those that need them.

I did quite well with the list yesterday but had to retreat to bed early as I was exhausted by 9pm. Work is crazy busy and my work to do list is mammoth.

I'm feeling a bit disorganised when it comes to Christmas - went to make mince pies last night for school and discovered that the jar of mincemeat which I was sure I had was no longer there. No idea where that's gone! Never mind, hopefully there will be lots of donations. I must make getting sorted a priority this weekend as time marches on. Only 11 days of work left before I star my Christmas holidays.

I'm going to tackle DD's room in whatever time I have today. We're off to a carol concert straight from a club tonight so won't be home until 8 at the earliest.

Have a super day everyone :xmassign:

  • I'm with you Bossymoo! - DH has just come back in - he was on his way to work for 7- to rescue a garden armchair which had moved itself all round the side of the house - about 30 feet!!!!

Think I am coming down with a snuffle so glad it is room of doom and other assorted bits today - thanks for the reminders I find them so useful as my head seems to have become a total shed since I finished work!!!
    Also need to
eat more paper frog in little bites
scrub the kitchen floor - which didn't get done yesterday
find cooker hood instructions and replace filter
fit radiator foil behind all radiators - the feedback says it is easy - I'll just have to wait and see!!

Have a good day everyone - hope it is not as windy countrywide as it is here.

    Morning all and welcome newbies.

Well, it is blowing a gale and our garden seat which is mega heavy and normally can't be moved an inch without a couple of big strong men (DH being one of those) has become detached.

The contents of the cardboard recycling bin are across the garden too.

Right, I'm going to clean downstairs loo and sink, go in the gym for 15 mins, have a bath and get dressed. Then I will walk the dogs, hope LittleyDog can withstand the wind - she's not even had a wee yet, just ran straight back inside, and then paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Oh and lovely keyring, Bossy.

  • my BD is in a runaway mode, after trying to keep a lid on it having a stranger in my house for 3 hours on Tuesday, I tried to get back to some sort of normality. DD4's rash is subsiding so planned to take DS to swimming and keep DD4 in foyer with DD3 just in case.

An hour before I was due to leave to pick DD3 up from school, 2 Council Officials turned up on my doorstep flashing ID badges, thinking Energy Saving Trust had sent them I let them in. Next thing I am being interrogated who lives in my house, with paperwork being shoved under my nose to sign, which I could barely focus on with the BD yapping and snapping at my ankles.

Once they left, I had just 30 minutes left to get ready for swimming. My keys were nowhere to be found. After 20 minutes, I put a emergency call to school to get DD3 to get on the bus to come home. We spent until 12pm searching with DS helping too and still not found.

So until found I am quite literally grounded. All appointments for today have been rescheduled for DS and cancelled for me. Going to have to do an online grocery shop later as if I shut the front door I will be locked out.

Key finding and DS glasses finding vibes most appreciated today. Going to have a strong brew, cross off Listy, a few deep breaths and then start looking again.

PSMumof2 thanks for warm cyber hugs
