    tallullah,i have a repayment mortgage,so my total payment reduces capital,interest every month.

    interest only mortgage,totaly diff,your right,I'm wrong,your overpayments each month are separate and do make a diff

    someone with a interest only mortgage can maybe post and explain it better.

    No 36 reporting in with £303 OP for June. Not much to report. Apart from trying to understand where my pay is now dissapearing to.

    Oh perhaps it's the £220 for chimney sweep, £180 for car tax annnd the £850 i needed to pay out for insurance excess after my car was crashed.

    Also, am now waiting to hear what's going to happen with my role and co since it's just been sold to a US firm.

    ho hum.

    edit - this was reasonable as it was two chimneys and a cowl being replaced (blown off in high winds)

    After a few months holiday savings, I'm back on the OPs until the end of the year! Can't wait to get to the elusive halfway point of £2500.. should be there by August.

    #150 reporting in with my standard OP of £500 for June.

    Spending money like water at the moment but will cut back on non-essentials rather than stopping my OPs!
    What goes around comes around.....I hope!

    hello, i made a payment of £698.03 today, first payment for june. still saving for project and spending too much to overpay at the moment. :eek:
    mortgage 1 33,000. paid nov 2012 :D. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
  • Think i must have missed posting last month (May) with an OP as spreadsheet doesnt show it and cant seem to see it on the thread so must have had a blonde moment.

    Have made the following 2 OP's recently;

    May £1,000
    June £1,000

    This month next year for us will see our fixed rate come to an end cant believe we've had our 1st mortgage for 2 years already. £19,900 is our current total of OP's over the last 2 years. Awaiting our statement in July to confirm my figures and hopefully give us the boost to continue our hard work.
