Is this correct Black Taxi? I thought this was about the overpayment you can make over and above your normal monthly payment, not about how much the overall capital will reduce in a year. If this is correct, them my target for the year is completely wrong.

I guess I am struggling to understand because I have an interest only mortgage and so am not expected to pay anything beyond my interest. So, are you saying that the interest payment is the actual mortgage payment, and anything above that is the overpayment?

If so, I will recalculate and come back with an amended figure for the rest of the year.

Thanks for your input and interest Black Taxi. Very much appreciated.
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

T, I have a repayment mortgage and I only count OPs not the capital reduction from our normal payments. But I think it's up to you as to how you want to set your targets. I see only Mfit3 as focussing on the total reduction through normal and overpayments.
