Thanks again for all your work.0 -

Hi Special_Saver2, see this thread for the info on the Bath regular saver rate increase to 7.00%.
Also, Derbyshire Building Society have launched two new regular savings accounts, Loyalty Saver (paying rates between 6.50% to 8.00% depending on how long the customer has been with the Derbyshire) and Season Saver, paying 6.53%. See this thread for details on both accounts. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Thanks very much for that!
I have updated the Bristol BS entry now with a link to your thread.
I will try and squish the Derbyshire accounts in later - this 25,000 character per post limit is causing me problems. Thanks for the info though.0 -
skipton savings accounts do include membership voting rights, skipton operate a "signaway" for new members similar to most building societies, this shouldnt deter people from opening a regular saver with skipton BS esp as minimum monthly deposit is 10.00, monthly deposits can be varied.
skipton have passed on all base rate increases on all its savings accounts for at least 12 months, despite this skiptons reg saver is still 0.70% below yorkshire BS.
re your ref to "bristol BS", can i have a link as im unaware of a "bristol BS" :cheesy:0 -

Oops, I meant Bath BS, sorry!!!
I have fiddled about with the first post of this thread to make it more readable and to cut down on unnecessary stuff. For the 12 month saver accounts, I have decided to only include accounts paying 7% or more. I have also played with the formatting to try and make it all easier to read.
I have also now included a section at the bottom on the best feeder accounts. From what I can see, the Sainsbury's Bank Internet Saver currently wins easily as the best no strings feeder account.
I am currently using a Coventry First account but when my first year bonus runs out in a few months I will probably jump ship to Sainsbury's (assuming it still has a good rate at the time) as my feeder account.0 -

how many different reg savers have people been actually been able to "feed" from sainsburys internet account, i might be mistaken from the posts ive read i gleaned an opinion that people had experienced problems trying to feed some reg savers directly from their sainsburys internet account.0 -
Time for a ^BUMP^In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0

I've opened a LLoyds TSB regular saver account. What I think is great is that I can vary the amount paid in each month, stop paying in, and make as many withdrawals as I like without penalty. This account would be suitable as an ordinary savings account, unless you want to invest a lump sum of more than £500 to start with.
In fact, you can invest £1000 within a short period of time. Open the acount near the end of the month, invest £500 as opening deposit, then £250 before end of the month as a standing order, then move the SO to the beginning of the month, so another £250 is invested a few days after the first. (This wasn't my idea, but I can't find the post that came up with it at the mo.)
The only hitch is the necessity of opening a LLoyds current account, but I managed this with no hitches - I haven't even deposited anything in it. Presumably when I wish to withdraw anything from the regular saver it will have to be via my Lloyds current account?
