Still sewing....run out of red embroidery thread now, which I wouldn't have done had I not had a mishap with a length of it. Doh.

AND I still have the panto costumes to sew....thanks for the late notice on that one Igor.

Oh, and still seem to be behind with Xmas shopping too...can I defer Xmas until jan please?

    Hi all

Do you mind if I join the challenge at this late stage. I've been lurking:) and was hoping to join in January but I thought I should just get started and aim for 5 NSDs for the rest of the month. Thank you:D

That is what Our Mentor is professing this year; he has been on the talking box lots this week, saying give the family IOUs for things you can look for in the Jan $ales & I kinda think he's on to a winner with this & other tips for monitoring the moola nod-yes-smiley-emoticon.gif
I have to say here that my 'babies' (the mostly human variety zombie-mask-smiley-emoticon.gif ) are all older & we don't do 'big stuff' prezzies anyway, but as Martin says, you are also teaching your children a valuable lesson in budgeting if you show them how to look for the bargains.

6 shiny nsds in my store cupboard now surprised-bird-smiley-emoticon.gif & that's after a mosey in the yellow stickers AND a mooch in a sweety shop! And a browse in a CS Booteak!!! Not that I'm complaining--just praying it stays like this for a bit longer banana-riding-llama-smiley-emoticon.gif

Ok, cast, final technical run through to set light and sound cues....that's it, Igor, help Sazzie change into her ball gown...yes, I know it's chilly, Sazzie, but Igor has offered to lend you his second best Sunday string vest and thermal long johns, even if they are covered in turkey fat......
kerri, I know you have been working hard and burning your candle at both ends lately, but it's Cinders you have to kiss, not the donkey...and that means NO TONGUES! (Yes, I know Hubert will be disappointed, but Big Mumma will keep him occupied sorting out the costume department, you know how he enjoys playing with girly clothes and shoes....)
Yes, EvertheOptimist, seeing as you have a babysitter problem you can bring the munchkin to each rehearsal and performance. He can play the bongoes in the orchestra pit.....right, master ETO, let's hear those bongoes...give us an A sharp........

Well, the panto should be ready for curtain up Saturday night, and I think kerri's pole dance slot should be during the interval to give us a chance to fumigate the stage and auditorium after Hubert's entrance....

Oh, Igor...seeing as your undies are covered in turkey fat, does that mean you have finally got our turkey for the meals on Saturday and Sunday????? Yippee!!!!

The thing is, as we have two meals, we need two turkeys.....off you go to the shops, Igor, and don't be late for dress rehearsal tomorrow.....and no, I don't think the second turkey plus all the trimmings will fit into your rucksack, take Hubert and the Cinderella coach but don't get any stuff on it, and don't get a parking ticket or you'll blow your chance of an NSD.

    Just dropping in to report

    NSD # 10 !

which means I've hit my target.

it was my first time doing this challenge, so my target was conservative.

So I'm going to 'up' my target

    New target 16
