No Valm, I didn't manage to get any Pure Grace in the sales.
Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Well done cakeadoodle, I look forward to seeing your stash list. I have loads of body lotion and body butter too - I find it hard to muster up the enthusiasm to slather cold cream on myself after a nice warm shower. I'm trying to get into the habit though.
This is my problem too! Especially at this time of year; I want to get out of my towel into a woolly jumper ASAP after a shower.0 -
I'm rather dreading using the Soap & Glory Righteous Butter in my collection now. I've been putting off using it for a couple of years tbh, but we'll see.... :rotfl:(
I hope it doesn't go off like Hand Food does. UU soon. xClutterfree wrote: »Also a Champneys gift set, various products which I'll pop in my stash list but too lazy to post it here as well!:o. Never used this brand, is it any good?
Laura Geller Baked Macaroons Set (3 highlighters, 3 blushers, 3 eyeshadows) the packaging is so cute I can't bear to throw it out.
Real Techniques make up brushes - the face set and also the eye set. Yay! :T
I've bought nothing in the sales - polishes halo :A lol.
Tbh I think I'm all shopped out after Christmas. The only things I *think* would tempt me would be Philosophy shower gels at a bargain price - esp Pure Grace - or Thierry Mugler Angel or Pure Grace perfumes or sets, so if anyone spots those...
I've only tried the hand wash and lotion by Champneys and they were lovely although I have other favourites that I prefer (L'Occitane Verbena hand wash and Molten Brown hand lotion).
Have you used Laura Geller before? I love her primer (Spackle), foundation (Balance N Brighten), bronzer (Bronze N Brighten) and blushers of which I have several. I also have some eyeshadows which I like but don't rave about as I don't use eyeshadow very much. The only products of hers that I've tried and not been too happy with are her concealer (Banish N Brighten? I think) - this stung my eyes like mad and her lipsticks but then I'm not a big lipstick fan much preferring lip gloss. Don't think I have had any of her lipglosses to try.
I think you are probably out of luck re: Philosophy online as I've been having a little look and most stock seems to have run out on the various sites I'm aware of. Might be worth you having a mooch in your local biggest branch of Boots or John Lewis to see if there is any stock there.I
Finally ladies, a subject close to our hearts but slightly OT, my bathroom is not a place I like to wallow in the bath at the moment as I eye up the plain tiles and rather past it, although not gaudy, bathroom decor - I'm setting my sights on getting a new bathroom but don't know where to start and OH is not at all DIY ish so I'm thinking we buy everything we need and get someone to fit it etc, no great remodelling required as its a fairly small room and everything makes sense where it currently is. I'm assuming this option would be rather a lot cheaper than getting someone like B&Q to do the whole lot? Any advice would be gratefully received. I'd definitely get through my bath products quicker if I had a lovely bathroom in which to enjoy them :j:j:j
I can't recommend anyone as when we remodeled our bathroom we bought the suite, shower and cabinets from different places and MrM fitted them all (he is fab at DIY). I would not recommend B&Q however. My friend has had a real problem with them re the fitting of her kitchen as they started the job ie fitted all the cabinets and then were saying they could not come back to finish other bits (tiling and flooring). She's ended up reporting them to the Ombudsman.
On the subject of bathrooms and MrM he's a bit miffed with us today as he's just spent ages unblocking both the bath and basin. Apparently the guttering was full of "Lush gunk" - his quote not mine. Thankfully, the soapy gloop only gunked up the basin which means that Emma (who prefers soap bars at the sink) will have to switch back to liquid soap. If it had been the shower/bath drain that was clogged up with soap I don't know what we would have done :rotfl: It was hair that was clogging that up as per usual.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

There is a kit that's reduced on the Philosophy website itself reduced to £24.50 so not as cheap as Debenhams but still £10.00 off.minicooper272 wrote: »This is my problem too! Especially at this time of year; I want to get out of my towel into a woolly jumper ASAP after a shower.
I've got out of the habit of body moisturising too citing that I don't have enough time but given I'm not in work at the moment I'm obviously being lazy. Just been catching up with the thread. I always find it interesting when someone posts on here about the concept of the thread and what people deem to be necessary/unnecessary. I personally, like many other people (I think) see this thread as somewhere where I can chat with other lovely like minded people and try to reduce my spends on toiletries and use things up. For me, this doesn't always mean not buying unnecessary things but rather trying to reduce buying unnecessary things or getting them at a better price.
I dunno, just my thoughts really and I imagine different people use and see this thread in different ways. I also find it interesting to see what other people use and to get tips for myself.
Anyway.....ramble over :rotfl: time to report my UU and INS
UU, 201: The Body Shop Nutriganics Softening Cleansing Gel Oil 100ml - WBA and already have.
Have got lots of perfumes that are nearly UU and I think will be outs before the end of the year. Nearly got through my perfume stash now, I like to have a stash but only of ones that are my absolute favourites and only 1 of each. I have run out of a few of my favourites but I am waiting to buy them/ask for them as future gifts when the ones I don't like so much have gone.
Have also listed the REN AHA concentrate that didn't agree with my skin, on Ebay. Will report as an out once it sells.
Now for the INS, some of these were gifted whilst others were bought in the sales -
93 - The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel 250ml
94 - The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel 60ml
95 - The Body Shop Mango Body Whip 60ml
96 - Christmas Eve bubble bar
97 - Christmas Eve bubble bar
98 - Snow Fairy Massage Bar
99 - Christmas Penguin
100 - Bombardino Bath Bomb
101 - Cinders Bath Bomb
102 - White Bath Bomb
103 - Santa Lip Scrub
Bought a few more bits in the Lush sale but haven't counted them as INS as planning on gifting those to people next month. I also have some further INS to declare once I pick up my Boots order  These are all things that I will use though and my stash really isn't that big anymore so I don't feel too guilty.0 -

Yes I have lots of Laura Geller make up and b&b is my foundation of choice. I hated the banish concealer too.
Thanks for the heads up re the Philosophy set. I shall give it a miss at that price as I have shower gel and lotion in stock. If it had been half price I think I'd have caved though...
I'm not really a body lotion person either, dont like getting dressed when I feel "greasy". I have sooooooo many in my stash too.
I think it was Babafette that said slather it on your feet if your wearing socks that day, so I did that after my shower earlier. Was a bit of a struggle so may need looser socks!Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

That's pretty much how this thread is for me. It also helps when I have a NPI because I know I'll have to confess here!:rotfl:
It also interests me to see others likes and dislikes and their Holy Grail products.
With that in mind, I was thinking of starting a little spin off thread where we could all list our favourite products for 2013. Eg, fave cleanser, fave toner, fave shampoo etc. Then all the HGs would be in one place and then end of next year we do the same to see if they are the same or we've found better products.
It may have already been done before, I don't know if there's a thread like that.
What does everyone think? I don't want to start it if nobody is interested. Be honest. It wouldn't be an ongoing thread like this, just an annual one.
It just interests me so thought it might interest others.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I love this idea - I like reading that sort of thing and would be helpful if it was all in one place I think :T It is also technically still money saving as it helps people to see what other people find useful, in my opinion :j0
