No INs at Christmas is brilliant Babafette. I unfortunately can count on one hand those gifts that were not beauty orientated! x
Thanks, but it's not difficult when you don't get any Christmas presents! :rotfl:
I seem to have more body lotions than anything else, mostly from gift sets. I'm a bit lazy about applying these so they always hang around long after the perfume/showergels are gone. They also take ages to use up! There's enough in my stash to keep me as slippery as an eel for the next decade I reckon.
Well done cakeadoodle, I look forward to seeing your stash list. I have loads of body lotion and body butter too - I find it hard to muster up the enthusiasm to slather cold cream on myself after a nice warm shower. I'm trying to get into the habit though. :)

I have another use up from my Project Pan list to report - I finished the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream 50ml yesterday. I used it overnight with my cotton gloves and would definitely buy it again as it is rich, smells nice and lasts for absolutely ages. I think I'll move on to an old Nails Inc Angel Hands hand cream next. I also have a single in to declare as I treated myself to a bottle of Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Bath and Shower Gel from TK Maxx. I did venture into Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams earlier but managed not to buy anything, although I was sorely tempted by some of the Sanctuary and Champneys stuff. :A

    Morning all!

I just thought I'd post this, I have the Lakeland one in my kitchen but it wouldn't be good for the bedroom, so this is going on my dressing table so I can easily see all my bottles and have them well organised :D

Oooh, kadison.... I love your thinking. I think my DH might flip though. :D

I'm rather dreading using the Soap & Glory Righteous Butter in my collection now. I've been putting off using it for a couple of years tbh, but we'll see.... :rotfl:

Yesterday, I popped in to the massive Wilkinson's near my parents' house. I'm not quite sure WHY I popped in as I didn't need anything but I did come out with Carex Original Hand Wash 333ml for the kitchen. Honest. :o I'm using up bars of soap in the bathroom, but I just prefer bottles in the kitchen. Ok, so there is no real excuse. :(

  • Morning ladies.
Hope you all had a good Christmas.
Ours was much better than last year where we had an ambulance out to Dad on boxing day and he didn't leave hospital til end of January!
    Much less eventful this year.:)

    Not too many pressie INs...

    Collin collagen gel :j
    Collin eye cream
    Collin cleansing water (sample size)

Also a Champneys gift set, various products which I'll pop in my stash list but too lazy to post it here as well!:o. Never used this brand, is it any good?

I also received the following beauty related products but not listing them as INs...

    Babyliss Curl Secret

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette (don't list make up in my stash, therefore not an IN)

Laura Geller Baked Macaroons Set (3 highlighters, 3 blushers, 3 eyeshadows) the packaging is so cute I can't bear to throw it out.

Real Techniques make up brushes - the face set and also the eye set. Yay! :T

Also I received a small box of 6 bath bombs from Bomb Cosmetics. I've used one already and it was lovely. I am not listing these in my stash as I don't have a problem with bath products and don't tend to hoard them. These will get used probably once a week for the next six weeks as they are the only bombs I have.

I've bought nothing in the sales - polishes halo :A lol.
Tbh I think I'm all shopped out after Christmas. The only things I *think* would tempt me would be Philosophy shower gels at a bargain price - esp Pure Grace - or Thierry Mugler Angel or Pure Grace perfumes or sets, so if anyone spots those...

Have a few OUTs but shall do those later as I've already waffled enough!

    Toodles xx

  • I like the idea kadison but have to admit I wouldn't fancy having to dust and re-display everything on a regular basis! :D

    Welcome back asset!

VickyA - I personally really like S&G Righteous Butter, you only need a little and I find that it absorbs well and doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky. I've just replaced mine with a TBS one and not liking it as much to be honest, but each to their own :)

    I have a UU:

    23. Philosophy Purity Made Simple facial cleanser 90ml - WDBA and in fact have 3 waiting for me to collect and another already in the stash. My skin seems to really like this. I have replaced for now with my recent Kiehl's purchase.

Away for the weekend again (Christnas take 3!) so hopeful of a few UUs but also expecting several gifted INs!!

  • Back again! :D

Just updated my list and it was only 7 INs over Christmas so I'm happy with that.

I have the following 4 OUTs so if I work on 3 products this week then I'm back on track. :p

Philosophy Pure Grace Foaming Bath and Shower Cream 240ml - WBA as I love this fragrance BUT not at full price as I do think it's overpriced. If anyone knows of a dupe for this I would be so grateful.

Pecksniff's Eau de Parfum Oriental Amber 11ml - WNBA This seemed to last forever and I really wasn't keen, too spicy for me.

Clinique Mild Soap - WNBA Was a GWP, I've not used it up but have relegated it to the family bathroom to use as a body soap so it is out of my stash!

Dead Sea Spa Magik Spot-on gel 15ml - WNBA Actually threw this away. Had a few spots so tried this out. It dried out my skin way too much, left it very flakey and dry and looked worse than the spots did! Binned it so I don't make the same mistake again.

Sorry, I'm back again too! :D

Two UUs to report, which were a bit of a surprise... A nice surprise as I was getting a little annoyed about having 13 UUs. Just wanted to move from the unlucky number. :o

Marks & Spencer Florentyna body lotion 50ml WNBA Far too floral for my liking, but like most other things in my stash there's another one waiting in the wings to be used. :o

Spa Collection Bath/Shower gel with lemongrass 30ml This was snaffled from a hotel bathroom on our jaunt to Brussels. It was nice, but nothing more than that.

Right, I'll let you all get on with your day. :p

I got some of these too, the Luxury Bath Box, I've had them before and loved them, OH remembered so got me some more :D

I've got the Naked 3 too, I ordered it myself and my brother paid for it for Christmas so I'd only got my hands on it on Christmas Day, got to say I'm not too sure about the left half of the palette although I've not used it at all yet. Still think Naked 2 is my favourite, mine is 18 months old and still going strong with daily use, some of the shades are no more but I keep finding others to mix together! Such good value IMO.

Is that hair thing the one that kind of sucks your hair up that you've had? One of the girls in work got that and said its fantastic on her just past the shoulder length hair. I'm intrigued!!

Finally ladies, a subject close to our hearts but slightly OT, my bathroom is not a place I like to wallow in the bath at the moment as I eye up the plain tiles and rather past it, although not gaudy, bathroom decor - I'm setting my sights on getting a new bathroom but don't know where to start and OH is not at all DIY ish so I'm thinking we buy everything we need and get someone to fit it etc, no great remodelling required as its a fairly small room and everything makes sense where it currently is. I'm assuming this option would be rather a lot cheaper than getting someone like B&Q to do the whole lot? Any advice would be gratefully received. I'd definitely get through my bath products quicker if I had a lovely bathroom in which to enjoy them :j:j:j

I'm not sure which box of bombs I received but it was in a white box tied with brown ribbon and looked like a box of handmade chocs. They are in a dish in the bathroom and I can smell them as I walk upstairs.

I also ordered the Naked 3 myself but it was from hubby.
Naked 2 is my fave also. I think I'll get use out of the Naked 3 but I am looking at YouTube for ideas! I don't use Naked 1 as much. I also have the MUA dupes for 1 and 2 and was impressed with them. I actually bought those first to see if I liked the colours before buying the Urban Decay ones. :o

Yes the Curl Secret is the appliance that sucks the hair in. Was quite scary at first! I don't think it makes or hold curls as well as my Yogi wand but it is so much quicker. The Yogi is ideal for a special occasion but the Curl Secret is better for every day use. My hair is down to my bust and so far it's taken about 25-30 mins to do my whole head. I do have long thick hair, though. I'm hoping once I've practised with it I'll be able to do it in 20 minutes.

Can't help with the bathroom. Hubby fitted ours and he bought it from a local bathroom showroom.

    That's lovely VALM :A

When I said 'buy nothing' really I meant buy nothing unnecessary, I will run out of certain things before May but I am determined to only buy things I run out of, not sure how well I'll do but at least if I try I will buy less! ;)

You don't want to swap me something for my two remaining bottles do you VALM?

I'm not sure the lip scrub did anything either tbh, I certainly wouldn't buy again even if I wasn't boycotting Lush! I liked the idea of the Candy Cane but I found the mint too powerful, like having toothpaste under my eyes :(

Ah, I see what you mean about the non-purchases now. I really thought you were going to throw caution to the wind and not buy anything at all.

I won't swap with you if you don't mind. I don't mind using mine up but don't really want any more. Are you a member of the fb group? Might be worth putting them on there.

IKWYM about the Candy Cane one. I have not succumbed to the bottle of Peppermint Stick after all. Am still a bit miffed that I missed out on the Philosophy Pure Grace kit that was reduced to £17.50. I can't remember who was looking for Philosophy on the sales but I hope they managed to get this. Was a real steal.

I have bought a few more things on the sales:-

In Sainsbury's yesterday I picked up 2 x Burts Bees kits each reduced from £13.00 to £3.90 and both containing:-

Deep Cleansing cream, Hand salve, Body lotion, lip balm and Foot cream. All travel sizes so am going to save for my hols with the exception of the lip balm which I want to use now. I did have an M&S one on the go but I managed to melt it so this will be a TA.

2 x Vaseline lip balm tins. Reduced from £4.00 each to £1.80 each. Each contains 3 x lip balms. Emma had asked for one so thought I was being very kind buying 6. Who knows may have some left again next year for her to make Christmas hampers with again. lol.

Then I got the email from Liz Earle about the 40% off sale and bought one of the Essentials kits for £30.00. I know I don't need this now but figured it will save me paying £43.00 for these when I do need them.

Ooo nice re the Elemis set! I ordered about 6 last year I think, still working my way through! :D

I was given a Gary Barlow *sigh* calendar for xmas and bought a Thelwell one from Amazon (anyone remember them?) as I couldn't get hold of a Simon's Cat one, I normally have one in the kitchen and one in the office upstairs, not sure which is going where yet!

This is why you are drowning in the Blooms oil as well then??

My cousin was given Gary Barlow tickets for Christmas. Did you manage to get any?
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
