I don't know if you follow the beauty mouth blog? she posted an amendment to previous advice on the Effaclar Duo this week, it is here if you are interested

http://www.carolinehirons.com/ scroll down to post for Tuesday 3rd.

Thanks for the link, I probably would just use the Effaclar on my spotty chin as my cheeks tend to be a bit dry anyway so most spot products are not moisturising enough.

Further down she does also say you shouldn't just be using things up for the sake of it, I may have to ignore her advice for this challenge!

    I have a uu

Estee Lauder Eyeshadow in Ivory Slipper - this was part of a GWP duo with Hot Cinnamon, the last bits of this colour crumbled apart and the other colour won't be far behind. I really like both of these for a daytime look.

it seems that the Clarins Exfoliating Toner has also been causing problems for some, I use it once daily

I expect it's a bit of a disclaimer as likely some will be going overboard with these things; I have just UU my Clarins Exfoliating Toner today and debating whether to replace it. I like it but haven't used it everyday and am going to wait a bit and see if not using it makes any difference. There are plenty of other things I would like to try and I'm moving onto REN Clarifying Toner from my stash in the meantime. :D

Agreed, I think that some people perhaps don't stop to think how they can use a product for the best advantage, less can be more I think.

I will be interested to learn how you compare the Clarins and the REN toner, I like the REN things that I have used and have some trial sizes, but not of toner.

I found that comment rather amusing too:rotfl:

My skin went the eczema and sensitive route, rather than spots, so I am not familiar with spot products, is it of a consistency that you could apply with a small brush to individual areas?

Has anyone used the LE lip shimmer? I've had mine for about three years before I opened it the other day and the consistency is not how I imagined it to be so not sure if it's gone funny. I was imagining more of a lip balm consistency. I thought I would try it out anyway and it felt all grainy on my lips that I had to remove it so think I may have left it too late to use it :(

    UU:

    6. John Frieda Brilliant Brunette mousse 75ml - WNBA, made my hair a bit "flat" looking. This was one of my PP items!

    7. Super Beauty Bath & Shower gel ginger & pear 500ml - WMBA if on a good offer, loved the scent but it didn't linger and also found that I needed to use a lot of this to get a decent lather - so poor VFM as it's not overly cheap (£5).

I've moved on to one of my (many) BS almond shower gels for now but will be cracking open a festive mini Philosophy nex week I think - not feeling at all Christmassy at the moment (in fact, quite the opposite!), despite putting tree and decs up and having almost finished shopping :(

    Afternoon all, I hope everyone's ok? x

I had another hiccup and another big IN will be coming before xmas in the form of the Elizabeth Arden set, there was a glitch and it was nice and cheap *oops*

I also have my eye on the Estee Lauder one but hopefully it will stay out of stock and I'll be saved from myself! :rotfl:

    UUs
Oral B Sensitive toothpaste 75ml - WDBA, HG
Femfresh Powder 200g - HG, allergic to talc so this is perfect
Batiste Dry Shampoo - Original 200ml
    No7 Eye Make-Up Remover 100ml
    Femfresh Deodorant 125ml
    Philosophy Senorita Margarita 480ml

    GA/TA
Avon Super Shock Lip Gloss Plumped Up Plum - So little colour it wasn't worth bothering
Korres Raspberry Liquid Lipstick Natural - As above
MUA Pearl Eyeshadow Shade 9 - Nice but I'd used it with a wet brush and ruined it!
No7 Duo eye shadow 2.5g Forest Greens - Never wore this

    IN
Lancôme Tonique Douceur Softening Hydrating Toner 50ml - To get the Lancome set cheap :D
.....not feeling at all Christmassy at the moment (in fact, quite the opposite!), despite putting tree and decs up and having almost finished shopping :(

I haven't put any decs up but I am gong to make myself, the tree always looks so pretty, but I am very 'meh' over xmas yet again, the fact that it starts in flamin' August in some stores kind of ruins it for me by the time December actually rolls around :(

  • Asked my mum to keep an eye out on deals on Bee Strong for me, as I'm nearing the end of my hairwashing stashes, and she spotted a deal straightaway!
So INs, but I feel like they're totally acceptable ones - HG on 2 for £4, and it's not like I stash conditioner for long...
    3. Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo 400ml
    4. Herbal Essences Bee Strong Conditioner 400ml
    5. Herbal Essences Bee Strong Conditioner 400ml

    Hi Vicky

It's a case of 'to each their own'. Personally, I don't, as I find it destructive. I find it too easy to get into a mindset of 'well it's a new month so the INs I bought last month no longer count', so I find it more productive to take the long-term approach. It's really working for me, although I seem to have a slower UU rate than many other people - I hope to the heavens they are UU samples and not full size products most of the time! :rotfl:

Thank you. That's brilliant. I think I'll keep to the long term approach as I KNOW it's going to be a long haul until I graduate. Although I have plenty of samples, I also have lots of full sized products. :( Even some "x% extra free. :wall:
