Do people reset their UU at the beginning of each month or just continue (whenever that was)?

    Hi Vicky

It's a case of 'to each their own'. Personally, I don't, as I find it destructive. I find it too easy to get into a mindset of 'well it's a new month so the INs I bought last month no longer count', so I find it more productive to take the long-term approach. It's really working for me, although I seem to have a slower UU rate than many other people - I hope to the heavens they are UU samples and not full size products most of the time! :rotfl:

Speaking of which...another UU: Sanctuary Hand Wash (pump). Another purchase in the Boots -75% sale earlier this year. Nice stuff, feels good on the skin and cleans well without stripping all the moisture from the skin. WBA.

I don't know if you follow the beauty mouth blog? she posted an amendment to previous advice on the Effaclar Duo this week, it is here if you are interested

http://www.carolinehirons.com/ scroll down to post for Tuesday 3rd.

I saw this recently too maddiemay. I use effaclar duo every other day usually and haven't noticed any problems with doing this. I may start to use it less though now but I am worried my skin will get unhappy again!

I 1000000% agree! The real techniques ones are the best ever, they're so soft and easy to clean, quick to dry....well worth the extra money.

For cleaning, use No7 cleansing water which is excellent on these brushes, do NOT get the brush cleaner as for some reason it is no good with real techniques brushes and leaves horrid residue, hth.

I love the real techniques brushes too - particularly the face ones. I have only bought them all recently, not getting on as well with the eye ones though or that might just be my eyeshadows :rotfl:

In the last month I have had to replace my dishwasher and washing machine, now the Sky remote control has packed up and last night the shower blew up whilst DH was in it. I have no sympathy for him as I have been telling him for weeks it smelt of burning but as usual he knows best :rotfl:.

Oh dear. They do say things go in threes though so you should be safe for now from anything else breaking down. Our Sky box went into meltdown on Friday night when it was in the middle of recording the Blacklist. Thankfully, it's ok. Oh the horror of contemplating the Christmas break without any TV. We would have to talk to each other !! :rotfl:

OT but did anyone what the Robbie Williams show on Friday? I've managed to get tickets for next year and am so excited.

The Real Techniques brushes are hands down the best I have tried and have revolutionised my makeup application. In particular the buffing brush for foundation and the set for eyes which includes a blending brush and a crease brush, I use these three brushes every single day. They wash really well too.

I bought these for Emma for her birthday and she loves them. Boots sometimes have them on 3 for 2. I got hers from Amazon though.

Present wrapping tonight, the tree is decorated and lit and I have a Yankee Merry Marshmallow burning, cosy! :xmastree:

You are organised. I think I've now shopped for everything that I'm going to. Will get Emma's wrapped on Thursday night as she's out with friends at the MEN for the Jingle Bell Ball (v. jealous now Robbie's headlining). My tree is "redecorated". I let Emma take control last weekend and she made it minimalistic and MrM has not stopped going on about it saying "it didn't look like a real tree". I have the new YC Season of Peace burning in my living room and Christmas Cookie in the hall. MrM had to melt one of my medium jars down as we had stored it on its side in the loft and the whole candle had shifted sideways in the jar. A lesson learned!!

Have caught up with thread - big welcome to any newbies. I'm feeling a bit better today. Went to GP on Friday and got some antibiotics.

Have been shopping today. Went into Boots and The Body Shop and came away with nothing. Did have a little browse around all the make up offers in Boots but did not succumb. Got a lovely little gift yesterday though from Sainsburys for a friend at work. The Baylis & Harding Beauticology gift set containing socks and foot cream for only £3.33 (1/3rd off at the mo).

Since getting home have repainted my nails and am wearing OPI Casino Royale, one of the Christmas colours from OPI's collection last year. Still looks lovely.

Have a great week everyone. I'm looking forward to next weekend as we are away in York.

Hello newbies, hope everyone is well.

I cant believe how quick Christmas is. I don't seem to have anytime with work and family at the moment

    UU's
Lush Santa sugar scrub WNBA this is the last one from last year. I prefer this years version.

Pantene Classic hair conditioner WMBA does the job

BS cotton seed curl boost WBA still have another 2 but really like it.

Seb med body lotion WNBA don't like the smell

Bath bomb from advent WNBA smelt nice but prefer other

Body whip advent sample in tropical something WNBA I like the product but the smell was too sweet for me

    Cotton wool pads WBA

Awapuhi texturising sea spray WNBA I don't like the straw like feeling it makes when using it.

Marathon bubble bar WNBA nice enough but was retro item so not on sal anymore

Gingerbread house bubble bar WNBA I used to love the scent of this but for some reason have gone off it.

I have several items on ebay edict tonight so that should be several more outs

    INS
17 lush bubble bars which I won in a charity raffle. So pleased as I love the scents.

4 whipped body butters between 2 and 4 oz
    Hair mask
    Sugar buff
    6 bubble bars not lush
    2 soaps
All the above is from a small American company that I wanted to try.

I guess it is a matter of finding the minimum use that still keeps the problems under control (as you seem to have done), it seems that the Clarins Exfoliating Toner has also been causing problems for some, I use it once daily, excepting when I have used Liquid Gold or any other exfoliation within 24 hours, my skin is pretty sensitive, but this frequency seem to be just right for me atm

  • My Project Pan list for December is:

    1. L'Occitane Jasmine Hand Cream 30ml
    2. L'Oreal Preference Conditioner 54ml
    3. TBS Coconut Soap 100g
    4. Percy & Reed No Oil Oil 30ml
    5. S&G Righteous Butter 300ml
    6. Garnier Moisture Match Gel 50ml
    7. Bliss The Youth as We Know It Moisture Cream sachet

1 and 2 are already goners, 3, 4 and 5 shouldn't be far behind with some sneaky decanting of the oil into another bottle. 6 is cut down but there's absolutely loads of product left so not sure how long that'll go for yet and 7 will be a couple of uses at most when I get to that.

Can't think of anything else that I'll UU this month really so going for super low IN before Christmas itself and the sales, then it'll all be out the window!! Although I don't seem to be coveting as much toiletries wise this year, its been makeup I've been yearning for like UD Naked 3 and some of the Benefit sets, I believe Santa might be bringing.... :D

    Before I forget.

    Out
    7 items ebay
  • asset I also went to spend my BS voucher this weekend, but forgot to use it when I came to the till. How annoying!

I am the proud owner of a BS Vitamin C facial radiance powder mix. This is literally the only item in the vitamin c range I haven't tried yet. My skin feels quite dull, and this is apparently a kick up the bum to revive it. I wanted to try out their drops of youth, but at £22 I didn't want to buy it to see how I got on with it. Has anyone else tried it? It's apparently very good, and not just for anti-ageing, but the shop assistant has to say that, doesn't she!
