Kept my eye out for road kill on my walk to and from work this morning, but no luck! Will keep my eyes peeled...:p

£1 into my tin today, wanted to put more in, but realistically we will probably need some for parking tomorrow, though if OH pays I will put the rest of my change in when I get back!
  • Hello there! can I join in please - got one of those tins from the pound shop and added my shrapnel today so am all ready to go. Am bizarrely excited about it. Don't have a specific target in mind but want to stay focussed on saving this year. Many thanks
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Very good advice to, LeopardPrintsAndTea, sams247, I'm just glad I'm not one of those Mums you're talking about. :rotfl:

It won't be much longer now, curly! Amazing how pots can give us such pleasure. A few more sleeps yet so enjoy the looking forward. yay.gif
May have to break into some of my other savings cause we're going to see a puppy tomorrow :D:D:D

Ooooh you're a shocking influence re mummytummy's little lad, Ruth, behave. :naughty: So, you may be getting a pup. Go on then, what type are you looking/hoping for?

    Brilliant potting, Kerry. :)

Well done with fleabay, claireyfairy, though very sorry to hear how rough you're feeling. Get well soon, the kiddies too.

Thanks rosyq ...It's started going well now ;), she's had a few orders and done some little jobs too; so it's moving forward :j:D :j.

Awww, thanks Sue :D. Now I've got to work out how to get that star on my signature :rotfl: :D :rotfl:.
No Sue, I am never naughty, and could not possibly comment, on what certain 'smilies' may or may not, look like to others :p. I am pure, like the driven snow *coughs* :rotfl:  :rotfl:.

I can see a lone penny on the unit , it may fall accidentally into the pot soon .

You've got it on perfectly, nu1isit?! I'm so chuffed to hear how well your DW is doing, all the very best to her, to you both, for it to be so very successful!! :grinheart Well done on the 1p.
in the new year I am going to try and put £10 in my purse each week and at the end of the week empty my purse in to saving jars.

That'll be a fantastic resolution, happycrafter, go on....you can do it!!!

Be careful all your workmates don't join us, LeaLea, it would be every girl for herself should any money fall on the floor then.

That's excellent saving of the kiddies lunch money, Nikki, brilliant! If only all mums did so.

A shortbread box for me too via DIL, jakes-mum, another thing ticked off the list. Look out, once you get on hotukdeals you'll be hooked, or at least my lass is.

...and you're right, getting-there-slowly, it helps go a long way.

Are you ok, 32b3 or just shattered? Whatever, I hope a day in bed makes you feel much better.

Piquant - with regards to sparky's question am I right in thinking you didn't so much save last year as start saving again this year??

Oh very shrewd, Eyebright, keep that up and you'll do well. ;)

:rudolf: Enjoy a wonderful weekend, folks, keep up the saving where possible. :xmassmile

Got mine too (cost me a £g1 as were £3 in our C0-op) and my free selection box as well :D Staff didnt have a clue how to make it work when I went in so after 30 minutes that included a phone call to paypoint, they had to give up and ask me to come back later after they had rung head :

The coop I went in told me they didn't do it as they are a different type of coop. I think they need to have better communication to the shops about how it all works.

Sue-UU --I was doing a 'part-time' CELTA course - which meant £990 and about every spare minute I wasn't working :( but last day tomorrow and fingers xd I've passed.

So very kind, do you think I could drink it through a straw while lying in bed. Or even better you could come and make it for me.:D
Feeling worse today,_pale_ have had to break into my holding pot to buy kids a McD's I'm in no fit state to cook and am currently snuggled in bed with the cat and a box of tissues. :(
Atchoo, well happy potting to you all, I may get out of bed on Sunday. x

Of course I would if you lived closer. Maybe you should try cuddling a bottle of whisky instead of the cat - might feel better or at least not notice it so much :rotfl: Hope you soon better.

My Friday £1 safely potted and I got a FREE box of choccies from Thorney because I bought the end of class pressies:j

well good morning all. I spent the last hour or so elbow deep in flour glue and paper. Seems the last time I actually made anything out of papier mache I was six and at school. Forgot how messy it is! And turns out you truly can get more paper fused to your hands than actually on the balloon! I had the idea to make a christmas style bauble pot, at the moment it looks like an overfed slug..... but hey I'm keeping positive, it will improve upon drying.....

£1 stashed in my holding pot waiting to be fed in the slug when its ready
