Can I join please? I'm a bit late but better than never! I have an old water filter bottle that I desperate to use for something... Thanks.

Hi Helencal, welcome to MSE and also welcome to the Sealed Pot Challenge!! We're glad you found us! :D

Looks like you've had a lightbulb moment by your signature. All the best with working your way out of debt and saving with us.

If you have any questions, just ask. The first page of this thread has lots of details about how SPC is run. We all open the pots and declare our totals November next year. I put a reminder in my diary so I don't forget about it!! As if that's possible, as it's so exciting when you open the pot and see how much you've saved.

Hope you enjoy saving with us....enjoy finding lots of saving and debt free advice on the site and do pop in and see us when you can. It really helps to keep you motivated and saving those cheeky pennies that would otherwise be wasted and spent. ;)

Got some Christmas food bought, ready for my Mum, Sister and partner and dog arriving later in the week!! Five days until 'our first' Christmas eve!! :santa2: The cashier gave me a £2 coin (normally I want to pot these but generally don't because I can't afford to let £2 disappear from the food money) but I decided to throw caution to the wind lol, and potted it!! :j :xmastree: So £2.41 potted today...boom!

    Hello

I got up today, and I went shopping again.

Potted 85p today which was change from a drink from a vending machine. Going shopping again tomorrow but as I never made it to the cash machine today, I have no cash so will be using my debit card and probably won't have any change to pot.

Hope the rest of the weekend is good for everyone. I am watching x-factor and eating peanut butter M&Ms ❤️

31p potted today! The tin sounds so hollow and empty when the money drops in at the moment. Will have to do something about that! :rotfl:
  • I bought myself a shiny new tin while on a Christmas shopping day in Dublin!
Got some change to put in it - £3 odd so that's a good start :-)

Oh I forgot to say, managed to get an emergency dental appointment for DD. The problem is with one of her baby molars. It is wobbly and the gum/tooth area has become infected. :( As the tooth is wobbly they said they could either pull it out (which DD was very adamant against) or antibiotics. He told her that she has to spend a bit longer brushing them every day and she has to wobble the tooth to help it along on it's exit!!

Still having to keep her dosed up with calpol and children's ibuprofen though. :( Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in quickly.

Took £40 out of the atm for my hairdresser's appointment.

£10 is staying in my purse just incase.
    Eyebrow wax cost £5.
Haircut cost £18 instead of £24.

So instead of only potting £1 as expected, I can pot £7.

If I still have the £10 in my purse on Friday I will pot it also.

    Ooh this is addictive :D
  • Have potted various bits of change today plus two 50ps!

got a terrible headache but will try to post more often

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
