Great news with how full the pot is, jakes-mum!!! What your doing for your Mum is lovely and she'll be thrilled with it. As for Jake!! Tut tut that's naughty and sounds a bit like our lad when he was that age. BTW, would you be the hand-slapper for those who misbehave with their pots on SPC.....yes, you too?!!
I'm so pleased you had such a lovely holiday, AlwaysHappy, keep on saving and you'll be able to afford them so much more easily.
Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Had some bad news. Mass redundancies at work came out of the blue. Was reeling from the news and I have decided to take voluntary redundancy. I have over 9 yrs service so too much money to loose if i didn't get one of the few jobs left.I am devastated as love where I work. So very upset as its not through budgets that is causing redundancies ( that is a whole different story and one that I can't say on a public forum).
Hence to say no money saving going on at the moment. It should go through by 31st August. Have felt very low but have picked myself up now and have booked a course that will look good on my cv and something that I am interested in too.
Hope everyone is well, sorry not read back. Love and hugs to all. When I can face potting will let you know. xxx

I really am so very sorry to hear your bad news, mumof3plusoh. Still, you never know what plans life has in store that may just be a whole lot better. Keep positive and stay strong and all the best on the course. Keep your chin up and keep an open mind and have these {{{hugs}}}. :kisses3: Save whenever you can, you know me...I'll expect nothing less! ;)

Good thinking, Hicks, whatever helps you is good by us.

Sue did I mention you're a total star? Thanks :D

You did, Rosy, but it was a real pleasure for me and I'll try hard to do so again afore ye go. Excellent savings too!!!! :T BTW, reading about your other escapade....do you ever stop?!!!! Keep at it, Rosy, and it sounds as though you shout at your knees in the same way I do mine. I've decided to keep up the muscle-strengthening exercises, use the supports and just say ****** the rest. :p

    Brilliant saving, Chi-me!!

You surprise me, Lynne......very much!! Exercising good self-control I see, well done. :rotfl:

Well done, redbooties, you did us all proud!! :j

Your FiL is doing marvellously, little-sweetie, happy returns to him. :bdaycake:

I reckon you figured right with that £20, Nell!!

VERY good for you on having done the Moonwalk, 32b3, very hard to do I'd imagine, but what a gift for others and that's worth soooooo much! :D

Sorry I've not been here for a few days, everyone, but we've had a very busy time. Our eldest DGS had his 18th and we all (17 closest family members) had a really wonderful evening out together. Also went with DD, SiL and eldest DGD and her paternal Grandparents to look at Wedding dresses at a very posh place and after trying on several, she fell in love with a real beauty which she's ordered!!!! :j With the dress, veil and tiara on she looked a picture. :happylove It was one of life's highly cherished moments......we were all crying, but it was so magical. They get married in March 2016.....can't wait!!

Enjoy your weekend, SPCers, no matter what the weather's like. :D

Ooooo im loving how full the pot is Sue, and another 53p to help it get to the top today :j :j

it wasn't Jakes that was trying to raid the £2 pot it was jakes DAD! am on call for hand slapping should anyone else try and rummage their pots! ;)

Feeling a bit lost as I seem to have officially run out of things I can flog on fb/fleabay  may have to venture into the loft and see if there is any treasures up there that managed to escape the last desperation rummage! Im thinking I should set myself up as a professional declutterer . . only problem is I couldn't guarantee that everything I sold off people would want to get rid of :rotfl:

    £1.94 potted last night.

Should have been £25 extra as that's how much I won on the lottery Wednesday but DH decided he wanted to spend it on a meal out for just we two. :D 2 mixed grills plus 3 drinks each came to £24.96 at the local W$thersp00ns. Very nice.

    Just 34p in today.

    Hugs to all in need.

    Evening

I didn't have any change to pot yesterday but I have potted £2.12 today.

The moonwalk was indeed hard, but the money raised for cancer research was well worth it Sue xx

    I hope everyone is OK

Evening all, a lonely 20p for the pot today BUT I am still sticking to the list and only getting the essentials so hopefully at the end of the month some savings may go into the pot from that source.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

    Evening all.

Another £11.10p to the pot (+2 £2 coins). So hoping that I reach my targets as it would mean my car being paid off by end of the year (18months payback instead of 4yrs); already making extra payments.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday; I'm sat waiting for OH to ring for a lift. Enjoying the comedy on channel 5 though :)

  • I've just potted 95p in my normal savings,
but I got the totals mixed up so will be re-counting the pennies again.
I have an app on my phone to keep track of how much I have saved but it doesn't match my past post.

Ooohh,it has been ages since I have posted. But I follow the thread every day. There is some great potting going on here :j.Hugs to those who need them (((hugs))).
The bag of money I have for spending is getting a bit heavy with coins,so have decluttered £17.39 into my pot.Followed it up with 44p found around the house over the last few days.
One of my 2 pots is just about full to the top:after putting in each coin I had to swirl the tin around to make more coins fit :j.

    Afternoon all :)

Just been to the shops and the cheeky machine gave me 2 x £2 coins in change. I can't afford to pot them both but I have put one in the pot along with a little bit of shrapnel. :D

Stayed on target for my shopping costs today. Kept to the list, pretty much, and didn't overspend. Annoyingly Morrisons didn't have any of their special offer potatoes! :( Will have to pop in again tomorrow on the way home to see if they have got some in.

Did half of my shop in Waitrose and brought DFIL (is that a thing?) some bottles of beer for his 60th Birthday present. Each one had 'old' in the title...tee hee hee!! Good job he loves me! :D :A

    Happy potting everyone! x
