Well done chi-me, you are doing great! :TWe have to indulge a little sometimes, little_sweetie, just be careful
to stick to your name!
Trouble is, sue, I do have a sweet toothmumof3plusoh wrote: »Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Had some bad news. Mass redundancies at work came out of the blue. Was reeling from the news and I have decided to take voluntary redundancy.....
Have felt very low but have picked myself up now and have booked a course that will look good on my cv and something that I am interested in too.
I'm so sorry to hear your bad news but very well done on being positive and getting on the course. Things will look so much brighter once you get your head around what will happen later. Keep your chin up
I went to buy some new glasses from B**ts today but they are so expensive that I came away without any _pale_ I think I'll try to find some cheaper elsewhere. I had to buy a couple of small items whilst I was out so about 15p in small change potted.
Hugs to everyone xxSealed Pot Challenge #012

Yes, well done, Chi-me...that's brilliant!
I've had a really expensive week, and have relied (too much) on my debit and credit cards. Back on track now though, and have just potted £3.50 ... money owed by a friend from some shopping I'd bought them ages ago, and which I'd forgotten all about!
Little Sweetie - I'm loving that you've set a target for Foodbank donations. I'd like to try that one too - who knows, maybe helping someone else out will generate a bit more change for my jingly-jangly pot!
Have a lovely evening everyone - half way through the week already...how did that happen?

Afternoon/good evening all.
Welcome to new potters - good luck.
Sue - thanks for the stars, but if someone can save a £ or two, then more for their pots.
mumof3plusoh - best wishes for the future. Go on to better things if possible.
Chi-me - excellent potting. A grocery challenge definitely helps to save money. I'll be on another one soon to clear some of the bargains accumulated in the freezers. I think May will be a frugal month, but I love food bargains and a great area to cut costs if you have the time and multiple supermarkets on your doorstep.
Potted 4 x £2 coins and have a bit to sort out tomorrow.
But £8 into the pot, which is getting very full. Another month and I'll have to find pot number two. lol

Ah mumof3plusoh, so sorry about your job, but hopefully this leads to better things for you <HUG>
Hehe Meowhouse, I always do this for my mum as shes just so darn terrible at saving where as my dad is just like me, hides money here there and everywhere. Im quite lucky as dad was always a saver and mum was always a savvy shopper (yellow stickers mean its fresh dont you know :rotfl:) and I inherited both traits :rotfl: most people call that miserly, I call is MSE smart
2 x £2 coins in the pot today from the lovely ladies at the POplus a teeny tiny few coins for the big pot
cmoooooooon full pot! I want to start a new one!

Please do join me mrs dallowayIn the past I have dropped a tin or two into the collecting trolley at sainsbugs but felt I would like to do more. Setting a target will keep me focussed, I hope. If I make any savings with coupons I spend that amount on an item for the food bank too. I rang our local one and the helper said they are desperate for tinned fruit, toiletries and UHT milk so I have been concentrating on those items. The total on my siggy is just from April 1st and I hope to reach my target by the end of the year if I can.
Have a lovely evening everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Evening folks, another £2 for the pot today, am finding it more satisfying than spending at the moment, so long may that last (I do relapse from time to time). Hope you have all had a great potting day.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

Someone gave me a lift today and I saw a penny on the floor of the car. Nearly picked it up - reflex action- but just stopped in time, what would they have thought :rotfl:
