just don't eat any more chocolate eggs or it could be a different story. Me? I can't resist temptation. I shared an egg with OH (gift from DD) and it's already gone
20p was all that was left in my purse from my mini shopping spree;
the smallest amount of coinage I potted in a long time, but I guess it all adds up.
Also, thank you I feel a little better!
And I found that out when I first started and was reminded today when it suddenly came back to me when I was serving someone who was buying bigger sizes because of our size difference...she didn't say but you could work it out that was what she was doing lol.
At the moment I'm feeling sick of food,
I usually don't snack but since friday it's been snacking here and there because of "nibbles" my family put out (we get together on Good Friday for fish - its 'bad luck' to eat any other meat on good friday) and we usually go over to someones house after our easter egg hunt and they always have snacks and a "buffet" type of thing)
I'm still full from it all though I did make myself eat loads today as I had work this afternoon - which comes to me saying that nothing was potted as I don't have any cash on me yet.NSD 3/25 | SA: £38.00 | EF: 38.130 -

Hiya folks, I hope everyone had a really lovely Easter and didn't eat too much.
Eviesmummy be sure to read about holding pots on post 1 of page 1, it may help you.
Thanks for the welcome, Indie Kid, here's your gold star. :staradminMy pot is now up to £20.42, this makes me happy, ive been a right donkey with the pennies recently
Come on, Nelly, you can't afford to be a donkey or a silly *** with your cash! Keep "saving" always in mind. :rotfl:
Very wise with the £5s rather than eggs for the more grown up of the kiddies, Nell, DH & I do the same now, even the younger 7 yr old prefers cash to chocolate..though I doubt that any of it will be saved.
It was a pleasure, Rosy., I've been lucky, so far, and never had it, but I feel so sorry for all those who have and if we can help in the possible prevention...so be it.Happy Easter everyone!
I gave up chocolate for Lent and devoured my cadburys button egg today with relish! It was easier than I thought but I didn't lose any weight (probably compensated with something else!!)
My pot feels quite heavy so I hope I will get a nice surprise when it is opened
At least you benefited in the lack of sugar for a while, Pickle. I'll bet you ate the equivalent of it all on Sunday!! :rotfl:
That's fantastic saving, princess-angelica!!!! :j Stay focused and strong. Very well done on your little lad saving his cash!!!! :T
Glad you had a good, though chilly day, Modesty. We went to the family on Sunday, oh so wet, but had a gorgeous day out yesterday...really beautiful.
I see tis share and share alike in your house then, jakes-mum.Well spotted with the £1, but however do folk drop em and not realise?!
20p is still savings, DeafLeopard and no doubt we'd all like to believe we're a size smaller than we really are.
Thanks for the Shr!ddies link Lynsey, I'm glad you thought of others here. Have a gold star for doing so. :staradmin
We have to indulge a little sometimes, little_sweetie, just be careful to stick to your name!
You'll have deserved that Easter egg, 32b3, well done.Have a good day, SPCers, and run between the drops.Sue x

jakes-mum.Well spotted with the £1, but however do folk drop em and not realise?!
I said exactly the same thing to DH when i got back in the car  i know where all my £1 coins are . . . actually I know where all my 1ps are too! :rotfl:
Stuck the Q-tip into the pot to see how we're doing and there is only an inch of space left  :j  :j soooooo close to a new pot! :T
Had to tell DH off as he realised the slot on the £2 coin tin is wide enough to shake the coins out so proceeded to do just that! got a short sharp slap on the hand and removal of pot holding privalidges for his terrible pot raiding attempt
Am doing a 'kind of' sealed pot for my mum, well its more of an envelope than a pot as I can't be spending £1 on a tin for her when I could be potting said pound  shes been giving me stuff to flog for her on FB/fleabay so everytime something sells i've been chucking the money in the envelope (her memory is terrible, she can't remember what shes given me) when ive got a decent wedge there i'll give it all to her in one go as they do like their mini breaks so I know it would go toward their spending money, where as if I give it to her in dribs and drabs she just spends it down c0-op :rotfl:

Had a lovely week away last week in the Algarve, but it has made me realise how important savings are (to be able to afford more lovely holidays for example) so back to it with a vengeance, though sadly only 20p for the tin BUT on the plus side, didn't waste any money today, kept asking myself if I really needed it, and if the answer was no, back on the shelf it went.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0
