Chi-me - welcome to MSE and this thread. Never too late to join, always time to save for Xmas or whatever. Good luck.
Have a read of Page 1 and Sue (our leader) will allocate you a number once she's back on.

Not many about - all the "posh" ones are on Easter breaks. :p

    Lynsey

    Thanks Lynsey
I've already begun. I didn't have any sticky tape in the house so sealed the bung of my pot with melted wax... :o I've potted the money I found in the car and a few 'roadkill' coins laying around.

I'm so excited to be handling my debts and having the potential to save now too :T Eagerly awaiting my number for my sig :D

    Melted wax?? lol
I know what I can do with my candles now. :D

Be proud that you are handling your debt also as well as excited.
Little by little and you'll get there. All savings will help, big or small.
    Good luck.

    Potted a £2 coin and 2 x 20p's = £2.40.

Hope your weather is brighter than mine!!

Walk the Walk is a charity that supports breast cancer research. They also raise awareness, and support healthy living, and advocate walking for fitness. They do a 'Moonwalk' every May in London where 15,000 people, mostly women, walk a nighttime marathon through London in decorated bras :D I did it in 2011.
They've branched out in recent years with lots more events - I'm walking a marathon this June for them in Iceland! I'm so lucky that I've had help funding the costs so I'm able to concentrate on training and fund raising. It'll start at midnight but the sun will be out, and we'll be wearing our bras with pride, and hoping it's not too cold!

Rosy, that's an excellent cause and I'll gladly go to you page and help a little bit. :D What a time you'll have in Iceland and what a cause to do it all for. Let us know when you're going and we can 'be with you' so to speak. Meanwhile, very well done with your savings!!! :j BTW Rosy, you're welcome to include the CPP in your savings.

Thanks for the great welcome, Ruth, a gold star is yours. :staradmin You too, Lynsey :staradmin and little_sweetie :staradmin, how could I resist with such a lovely welcome.

That all makes perfect sense with pet birds, Ruth, as it must be terrifying for them. :(

Thanks a lot, little_sweetie, I'm a lot better now thanks.

What a rotten shame about your DH's job, Lynne, so sorry to hear that and really do hope he will get another soon!

Hi starnac and good to see you're saving on the car cleaning, why give it to others! :D

It's no good, jakes-mum, I have to Google dustbuster in a jif and see exactly what you mean. Meanwhile enjoy it.

Marvellous news that you too have quit smoking, Older But Not Wiser!! :T

Wooohay Lynsey!!!!! So you finally made the £500, great saving!! :T
A very Happy Easter, folks, enjoy yourselves....the weather too for our Scottish members!:j

A £1 in the pot for me this morning.....and off to see niece and nephew, with a £5 each instead of even more chocolate! They get so much. Will be interesting to see if putting the £5 in their respective pots is mentioned :)

    I'd love to join please!
I've had a pot for years, but not being sealed means it gets raided at regular intervals when I realise I need money for something but been too lazy to get to the cash point, so savings never amount to much. I'm off to seal my pot!

Welcome! Sue-UU will be along in a minute to give you your number. If you haven't already done so, have a look at the first post.

I think some people (I'm not one of them!) do raid their sealed pots.
