    Hey

Thanks for the advice everyone. Followed mossy's advice and slipped into conversation. The mil didn't seem that surprised but has cleared a hidey hole for my tins. Quite annoyed by the lack of interest. Think she has an idea who it is but was adamant it wasn't the boiler man.... heard having words with someone but no idea who... will have to put it behind me as I'm not going to get an admission let alone my money back.

I will look for safer savings storage thanks sue

Glad the idea helped but sad that you haven't had an apology. :( Keep your chin up love, plenty of time to save before November. I know it will be hard but when you feel able, draw a line of pennies and move on so that it doesn't keep getting you down. Probably a bit too early for it yet, but hopefully soon. x :heart2: Oh and I hear you about nightmare private rental, we only did it for 5 years and it drove me crazy!! How our landlord thought she could put the rent up when we had a rat problem and threadbare/stained carpets is beyond me!!

    Take care of yourself! ;)

Thank you so much for your kind words Sue UU.
Plan is to shift the steroid weight (Slimming World is working at the moment and my local group are a lovely supportive bunch).....so once weight off and fitness levels up.....a challenge will be set to raise some much needed money for Macmillan and I will definitely do as you suggest and let you all know.
Made home made Mothers Day cards with niece and nephew today for their mum and we went and chose some chocolates for her as well. Its all stashed at their nan's home now :)
Another £2 and some change potted in my tin and some change in the kiddwinks tins as well.

GOSH Mad March already and I hope you all had a great SAINT DAVID'S DAY - daffodils, leeks and all that :D

Have added up and banked £130 yesterday. It was actually £128 but I put in another £2 to round it up, and YES I have put it on my siggy :)

A very warm welcome to some more newcomers :hello: - be warned it does become addictive all this Money Saving stuff.

Still managing on 2 ciggies after dinner. I reckon I'm saving £3 a day as I used to roll my own but bought my baccy abroad. So not a fantastic amount but it will all add up at the end of the year ;)

Hope you all have a super Sunday

My tins are in a suitcase now and I will pot only on a Sunday as they are a !!!!! to get to. Oh reckons fine to leave out now but I know otherwise. Glad I noticed now and not months down the line so that's one good thing. As my oh said, I'll help anyone with money so no need to steal. My last ll was meant to replace our threadbare carpets before we moved in..... 6yrs later we are out, new tenants in and no carpets sorted. Fences been down 3yrs, boiler not working properly and took 3yrs to sort ( was looking forward to a winter with radiators but left in December). Rat problem? I'm relieved I only ever found cats in my house! Good grief!

    Thank you mossy

    Hello all,

Sometime ago I started putting all cash under 50p in my purse after shopping (just once a week normally) into a double-height Kilner jar about a foot tall. It's about a third full but no idea what's in it but I do wonder whether I will be able to safely lift it if I fill it to the top, and why should I? Would anyone hazard a guess what it would hold when full please? This is the first time I have saved change so I have no experience.

    Afternoon everyone
Had a fantastic night at the. Michael Buble concert! his support band are amazing, if anyone is going to see him this week you're in for a treat.

meowhouse Great news Hun, made up for you xx

Nell hopefully you'll get. Your good news in the near future xx

Hickles sorry you've had a rough time lately, sounds like you're not getting much support, perhaps you should consider taking Sue's advice & get yourself a lockable box that only you have access to. Xx.
Our rat problem has now moved to a different address & good riddance to it!

A warm welcome to our newest members, enjoy the banter but most of all enjoy saving and opening your pots in November

So far this week 18 X £2 coins & 5 X 50p into the Canada 2015 spending fund. Also daily £3 potted along with some extra change.
