Good afternoon potters.Cold, wet and very windy here.£3 potted today.
  • My first day of reporting in. I already had a few coins in my pot and added another 63p I found in my walking jacket. I've got about £10 worth of coins that are bagged up ready for the bank but I'm tempted to tip them into my pot to encourage me to add to it? What would you do with it?

I feel sad that my pot is empty so I just popped £1 in there to cheer it up :D I'm hoping for some money from fleabay sales later on today so that I can pot that too. It won't be much but it all adds up..

Hi little_sweetie! All the best with your fleabay sales. If you get some you can always swap it for cash and stop your pots tummy from rumbling. :D I hope you're staying warm and dry too.

Afternoon, windier and even a spot of snow floating around!!

You're more than welcome Sue. If you were in walking distance, I'd walk around in this wind to drop you a box off.
A virtual box for now though:

What d'you mean, Lynsey, IF I was in walking distance??! Of course I am, we're only a teeny island. :rotfl: You could get us all one, well except mummytummy as she's down under in Oz. So, we'll see you later.

All the best with your strategy, it definitely sounds good to me. Stay warm!

I've just had more good news, an email from the lottery saying I've won £25.:j:j It's money that I wouldn't normally have so it's going straight in the pot.:D

That's absolutely wonderful news, Modesty, VERY WELL DONE INDEED!!!!! Congratulations! :j :T :j DH & I would do exactly the same if it had been us. We always do with £10 wins, but have yet to win bigger, but you'll all hear it if/when we do!! :D BTW, it's not me spoiling you, tother way round with you doing brilliantly on the RT. A HUGE thank you to you!

You stay in and warm, nanto3girls, especially where you live!

Oh KittyBoo, you're seriously asking all us SPCers what we'd do with roughly £10 worth of coins??? Only one answer to that from me - stick it all in the pot!!! yay.gifYou can always bank it/some when you've a good deal more, but to motivate you further for now...definitely pop it in the pot! :D

Excellent work with that £9, gottogo!! You're working well. :T
Please keep safe and warm, everyone, particularly our SPCers in Scotland and northern England.

Still continued potting, its a habit now and such a surprise when i open my tin and count it!:D
Rosie, the sealed pot puppy ,is now 2 1/2 and weighs nearly 30kgs, the best thing in my life as walking her [twice a day!] has meant that i have become fitter and also made lot of new friends walking their dogs.My social life is fabulous! Bbq's in the summer and social evenings this time of year.
Thank you all for the support and encouragement on this thread :T and  or wine! Without you, I would still be struggling to save the £300 to buy Rosie, instead I have had so much joy and fun with the sealed pot puppy [dog]

Anyone got any tips how to keep my cat out of the Christmas tree? Tried to hang orange peel in the branches, to no avail!

My brothers OH bought some spray. I'll ask her what scent it is and let you know. I'm sure it was some form of plant / fruit. I remember thinking, why would you buy it in a spray lol.

FINALLY at the end off the thread! Gosh, that took some time to catch up!!

Firstly - Sue and Sparky i am so sorry i haven't gotten around to giving you my total yet. I have been very poorly and working until 20:30 / 21:00.

I have made a promise to myself that i will finish early tomorrow and treat my parents to a nice roll for lunch since i've not really seen them much this week. That should net me some change to pot. I will also be heading to the bank tomorrow to so you will have my total as soon as i am back.

Welcome to all you lovely new potters!

    Awww :)

No potting today, must tidy the cupboard up at work as I'm sure I saw some roadkill lurking around at the back of it!!

Went to the scrap yard today and 'sold' them some wiring/cables that we took out when we had to rewire last month. Got £9.60 for it...not bad for rubbish!! :D Slightly annoyed as I didn't know about it earlier and had already taken the first lot of cables (which probably weighed more than this lot) to the tip a couple of weeks ago. Hey ho, no more throwing metal away for me...from now on I'll take it to the yard. ;) I've transferred the money straight away to the credit card...every little helps! :rudolf:

Right better go, the heating has stopped working and it's pretty cold   so I'm going to go to bed early tonight!! Just need to make the pack lunches. Night all, happy potting!
