Welcome :hello: newbies, good luck with your saving
Sorry Sue UU for the bad manners and bad grammar x but really big thanks for the shiny star:D
For me too another NSD but have added £5 to my holding pot for taking in lunch to work again today:)
More spends required in the week as have a visit to the vets (well the cats see the vet) and tea out and panto so hopefully the first wont be too expensive and the second give me a bit to pot :T:T
Thanks everyone for a great thread, its amazing to see how well we are all doing x and really inspiring - I can't believe that I had so much in notes saved (that got banked today) especially in January which is always the longest month for me. Will also make sure from now that I pot notes separately (to bank) and just feed my coins into the jellybaby:D

-bbma, please would you kindly pop your No on your signature for me? Thanks a lot.
Thanks a lot, Ruth, another gold star for you. :staradmin
Oh you're getting good, claireyfairy! Very well done, that's another gold star earned. :staradmin
Oh skilly, I bet that was a heart tugging time to have to leave what you worked so hard to achieve, sounds a bit like DH & I when we had to leave due to the house having concrete cancer, they took so long to build the new one that we stayed put where they moved us to; aside from which they trampled on everything!!Very true about growing what you use most - so why not grow the veg. Flowers are always so beautiful, so why not have plot/s of veg and re-establish your cottage garden in other plot/s so it's on a smaller scale but at least you have it again. A real shame about the greenhouses. All the best to you - and free your mind from it when you go to bed!
Good saving, braddy, and I hope your DS had a really lovely time.Saver88 wrote:I'm still not smoking :j shocked and surprised with myself but feeling great :T
Saver that is just the VERY BEST NEWS!!!!! :T:j:T I used to have baccy as well, at first it was to help me quit, but........!Still, I got there in the end and I'm pretty sure you're determined to do the same. Exercise dvds are great, spoilt for choice with youtube these days too. Stay strong and keep busy, busy, busy!
Nell, that was a really lovely idea and you'll most likely have made her day a special one.lucyhope wrote:Still potting away, bribed DGDs to dust for me on Sunday,(haggled them down from £2.50 to £1.50)
Oldest found £1 coin and it was in her piggy bank before I could say that's mine! Teaching them well I think.
OH was at hospital last week, his kidney function has been causing concern for some time, but it's improved from 24% to 33% in four months. He's diabetic too and I've had him on a low carb diet for 6 months to get his BG under control, consultant said the improvement is because his BG is controlled better. Result!!!
He wasn't too happy about the low carb but now he's seeing results it was all his idea. Men he?
Thanks for the laugh with the DGKs, lucyhope, you wait til their memories of you come pouring out one day!! :rotfl: Well done to the eldest! :j So sorry to read about your hubby, though you've definitely done him so much good as that improvement is wonderful. Best wishes to you both and watch those little ones don't beat you at your game!
That was good to hear, Helen, you're one of the family and we all pull together!I'm fine thanks.
Sams, please for Heaven's sake be very careful about walking home, I didn't realise you had such a dark journey. Be aware of being seen clearly too, but do go carefully - or better still - leave walking for daylight hours!
What a brilliant stroke of luck, WishICouldFindMySlippers! Well done on the purchase and the cash!
A great post to "whatsername" about Grandchildren, little_sweetie, you sound so like me with ours, I'm like a mad thing with them at times and they always think I'm up for almost anything. :rotfl: Yep, they're right and why not.ToniLiz wrote:Hubby rummages have been continuing through the start of the New Year. My son's Kilimanjaro pot for Meningitis Research was building up nicely but unfortunately his collection pot was stolen from my workplace by a patient so he is having to work extra hard with raising more fundsHard to keep him motivated, but all for a good cause...
Oh ToniLiz, that really is awful, especially after he's worked so hard for it. What are the plans now? How about doing it through "Just Giving"?
An excellent day, GettingOrganised, and two great achievements!
It doesn't matter that it's not huge amounts, Eyebright, it's just the saving wherever possible that counts, so be happy and proud.
I've no idea about the "Sorry Sue UU for the bad manners and bad grammar", Meowhouse, so it couldn't have been much. Good luck with the cat.
Good to hear, Vicky, apart from anything - we wouldn't let you go! :rotfl:
Very well done, Beth!Have a lovely Tuesday, everyone,and.......please stay warm and saving!!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
