Afternoon all potted £5 today. I know I'm not posting very often but I'm still potting.take care all .xx

No pennies today as havent been to the shop

Mum very happy with her cake, ok I didnt quite have enough white icing to cover the entire cake so had to botch a couple of sections and then make an icing rope to cover said botching but she didnt seem to notice and the 4 hrs of flower making was well worth it as they did look pretty fab if I do say so myself

Only got Miss lilys party to go next weekend (which I think im just going to buy a cake for as with 16 kids def coming and 14 still not replied :eek: I dont think I can be bothered to make a cake big enough to feed them all!) and then I can relax till march and DH & my anniversary

Gosh this no spending thing is good for my bank account but bad for poor lonely pot! Must try hard to find pennies in the street :rotfl:

Gosh Jakes-mum, I'm exhausted just reading about all the cake making - the cake sounds lovely and I bet your Mum loved it!!
Only 50p potted today, its a vicious circle if you are trying not to buy anything - you don't get change!! I have changed to cash for the majority of things I do purchase though so hopefully there will be more "potting" soon.

I just potted a tiny £1 from my fleabay sale but that's ok. A bit more space created in the cupboard

Well we invited about 30 but as its a roller skating party I just put on the invite that siblings were welcome too 12 have replied and 4 are bringing a sibling, 3 cant come, 2 are cousins so have to come so that still leaves me approx 14 - 15 children unaccounted for and worst thing is I cant find my list of names to work out exactly how many are missing and do reminders for them :rotfl:

I will say though it is skating only, no food etc so only need cake to go in the party bags . . and no! def not at home, ive hired the local sports hall, I cant stand my own 2 bouncing off my walls let alone 30 odd kids :rotfl:

Phew, thank goodness for that, but I still think you are very brave! But why don't people respond to the invites.....they must know how much work is involved in the organizing of these parties...grrr

Well how happy am I :D:D

I have had hubby open my pot as I was struggling to get in my pennies and have added the change to the jellybaby (much bigger tin) without counting but I can't believe I have £170 in notes to be banked. :T:T:T:T:T
So will take that to the bank tommorow and add it to the car funds for May:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I feel really spurred on now that I could save that in such a short time.......

Will continue to add coins to the sealed pot but will bank the notes at the end of each month I think until the car funds have enough.... Then will add it back to the pot proper for Xmas :j

Evening all, hope all are well and warm with this terrible weather!!
Some great potting going on, nice to read.

I'm been sorting my food stash and a little meal planning. I'm trying to be frugal until the start of April and will basically top up with any reduced items or bargain offers. Even without any offers, we'll not starve. lol

Potted 2 x £1, 2 x 50p and a 20p coin = £3.20 potted.
