*Shuffles in Sheepishly*
I had to spend the little I had in my Pot....So I'm starting again....But I will NOT be spending it again....I've put into place the beginnings of an Emergency Fund so that I can buy Food if I need it....or any other Emergencies...
So, starting again....I had Banked £55 and now have £1.10 in the Pot....Better than nothing!!
I have been avoiding this Thread....but I missed you all and so wanted to come back...if you'll have me....
Potting 24p this morning...xXx0 -
Welcome back dreamer Helen - we missed you x
:hello: hello all newbies, welcome to the very addictive world of potting :T
Well just a lovely shiny £2 coin and 75p in change from me 0h and a big fat £10er from not taking lunches to work.
I also am filling my pot up and feel it won't be long before I need another as some of the notes saved from not taking lunch to work are beginning to make it difficult to put in the coins :T::j:T:j:T:T:j:T
How exciting is that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The really big dilemma question is do I leave the pot sealed until magic Sunday - yes you all know the oneOR do I bank the contents in my savings :eek::eek: :think::think:
I am completely split 50/50 part of me wants to save it :A:A:A and the other is wanting to open to see what's there:cool:
Hope that everyone is well and not affected by the awful weather we have at the moment, take care and keep warm :grouphug:Meowhouse SPC #7 no 199 £560.58

Morning all, hope all are well.
Welcome to more newbies - good luck with your savings and with all your help to get a record total this year.
DreamerHelen - please post on a regular basis. Remember, you are a great finisher and still a long way to go. 12 laps in total and we're still only on lap 2.
I'm just a "plodder" and keep plodding along as I don't have the sprint finish. We are all different, but we'll all hit the finishing line at the same time.
An "emergency fund" is a great idea, a bit like a holding pot - hope it works for you.
I potted 4 x £1 coins and that's taken me over the £200 mark ...................... just.
Only £1 spent yesterday - 4 pints of milk. Frugal January (food-wise) continues to the end and also into February and March.
Have a great weekend and may all your road-kill be notes. lol

Received £5 worth of BHS vouchers t'other day so treated us to hot choc each and a belgian choc cookie between us. With vouchers plus 10% off for having a card, I paid 53p for £6.15p worth of scrumptiousness.
The pot received a £5 note plus a handful of silver and coppers for it's treat.
Welcome to all new potters, enjoy saving.
Hugs to all who need one.S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50

Just 50p for my pot today, but I am trying at least to pot something each day, small steps and all that. Having said that was pleased as punch yesterday, my little pot that I keep my £2's in couldn't fit any more in so got an old money box out and have started to fill that. I can't believe it. In all the previous years the cash would have just flowed!! Am feeling very virtuous!!I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

About £1.50 potted today. It's been a few days since I last potted anything, but that's because I haven't spent anything to get change - so I'm happy with that.
The change potted today was following a night out with work friends - this was planned a couple of weeks ago, but I made sure it was not an expensive one. I even managed to get a lift there and back, which saved at least £10 taxi fare.SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89
