Evening everyone, hope all is well and everyone not suffering too much at the hands of the weather
Well think I had a chemo brain moment earlier today :rotfl:
I was thinking that our big day for declaring/ counting pots was a Sunday when in fact as you will all know its a Thursday Doh, :wall:
(Thanks Sue UU - will now become magic thursday :j) So thinking that I might when I can no longer stuff anymore monies into my current sealed pot, open it and bank the notes ( thanks for the tip claireyfairy82) and just put the coins into my jelly baby tin from Xmas and seal up his bottom ( this will be the top for putting in the monies) Without counting it - more of a surprise then!
As I may need to add some to the monies I am saving for paying my car off in May - it's more than I thought so will have to tighten belt a bit x but pot could certainly help but can make a final decision when the time comes
No spends for me today so no potting and spent full food budget too so no secret potting from hubby either :shhh:Meowhouse SPC #7 no 199 £560.58

50p into my buy back tin for the custard the brat finks had for pudding with bananas
Mums cake is half done as tbh after having to wait 3 hrs for the dishwasher to wash and dry the bowl for my electric mixer so I could do butter icing, and having spent said 3 hrs making the decorations with ready roll icing, I was mightily fed up with the thing so bunged it in a tin to finish tomorrow. I was very mse though as I also made mums birthday cards from me and the kids so saved myself a few quid there
Sue, you are right re the tow bar, Renault (who I bought the bloomin car from!) wanted £550 to fit one  like I didn't give them enough already!!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
It seems aaagggges since I have posted, but I look forward to reading this thread every night (there are 3 threads I follow daily, and this is one.
With full fridge and cupboards, kids not nagging for money, school not asking for money, kid's clubs paid-up.....I haven't been spending too much this month.
Today, however, was a different story. My baby girl turns 5 tomorrow :shock !!Feels like the end of an era, having 4 children ,and I will never have a pre-schooler again- it's a bit sad.
However,I did go birthday shopping today. I took cash out with me, spent here and there all afternoon. Towards the end I was deliberately paying with notes that would give me lots of lovely coins for my pots. So tonight potted £14.54 change from today, including lots of £1 and £2 coins, and £1.30 loose change found around the house during the week.
Thank you everyone for such a fun thread. And thank you Sue for looking after us all.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

My pot is feeling very heavy, it's nearly full, I can see the top of the coins through the slot. I haven't been keeping check of how much I've been putting in but it's been every coin in my purse at the end of the day(except £1 coins because I need those for my PAYV TV)
When I'm shopping I always pay with a note and I use a small coin purse to put my change in so I'm not tempted to spend the change in the next shop and it can all go in my tin0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Well found my first ever 5p in hubbies work trousers before washing!!:j
It seems all these years of nagging oops I mean discussing with him are paying off unfortunately its not into my pot
Braving the horrid weather I've been to the shop for milk so this has benefitted my pot by another 90p so a grand total of 95p for me today.
Take care everyone, stay warm and dryMeowhouse SPC #7 no 199 £560.58

Hi everyone
It's very wet & wild here this morning, dark tooso I'm staying in the warm and catching up with housework and having a good old tidy up. Hoping for a few 'lost' coins to appear
I have absolutely zilch left from the food budget this week, it would have been 6p but a man holding out a charity collection box at the store exit tugged at my heartstrings and in went my 6p. I felt quitebut he didn't seem to mind at all that it was so little.
The family were coming to tea and as none of them like to eat the same thing I ended up spending loads more than I wanted to. Everyone wanted curry but the two tiddlers like mild chicken curry, OH will only eat prawn biryani, Son-i-L likes it so hot it takes the enamel off your teeth and DD & I like vegetable curry :eek: The only way to please everyone was to buy an assortment of chilled meals from Sainsbugs. I spent £26 including some lager for the men, naan bread etc but, at least, not a morsel was left on their plates  I won't be doing that again in a hurry though....
Hoping for some money later today (which I will pot) from an eBay item sold.
Well done everyone else on your potting...you are doing brilliantly! xSealed Pot Challenge #012
