I did make purchases but still my weekly spend was £47.35, my lowest ever! I think this thread gives me so much inspiration, thank you.sealed pot member 100. Saving for a dream holiday for 6!!

Heelllooooo PiC!! :grinheartThat's the most fantastic news and I'm sooooooo thrilled and proud for you as 2 years is a mammoth milestone!!!!!! :jCongratulations to you! :T:T:T:T I know just how chuffed you'll be with yourself on your achievement so I couldn't be more excited for you! *Sparticus* PM'ed me last week to say she too has got to 2 years, so has Denis, Rizla and many of the others and JD's nearly at 3 while determined nms finally accomplished her 1st!!It's been wonderful to watch you all on your journeys....and succeed, but I felt it was time to stop the thread which was the last in many of them, but I'm just so happy you were among those 40 who made it through!!!!Bless you for letting me know.
Re your DH, jakes-mum, he will get there one day so long as he just keeps right on trying to do it.
Never mind, Ruth, it'll (the rice) be on offer again soon enough and you can stock-pile it then til the next time. :rotfl:nell36 wrote:21p in my pot today. Niece and nephew have been potting a few coins in the pots I got them for Christmas. Nephew even voluntarily (no convincing needed) potted £30 that he had been given as a Christmas present. They are planning to smash open their pots when I do mine at end of the year. They were very excited about my pot last year - so do hope that they get the saving message through all this fun
Oh Nell, you're doing wonderfully with your Nephew and Niece and it's a joy to hear your Nephew put £30 away of his Christmas money, just brilliant!! :j Please don't tell me it's Terramundis that they plan on smashing?!!
Marvellous potting, samtoby!!!Mystikia wrote:Not a lot of potting going on for mestill unwell, so not really getting out & about much to get change... Only around 50p potted this week... But I was overjoyed to find my first roadkill of the year :j only 6p, but anyone would've thought it was a £20 note the way I was acting, lol, The fact that the coins were in a mucky puddle didn't even put me off... My OH's face was a picture of embarrassment :rotfl:
The first of a lot more I hope, Mystikia, and you be as excited as you like as it's cash you didn't have to earn. Your OH will soon get used to it, my hubby was always like that - now he's mostly the one to spot it AND pick it up!!!!! BTW, I do hope you're soon feeling much better, shouldn't you go to your Dr?Saver88 wrote:£5 potted from local selling page. Also my eBay total was £60 but Unfortuantly can't pot it as am going on holiday in march so need it to go towards that.
I'm going to give quitting smoking a good go cos I don't won't to smoke but I'm doing it out of boredom (I'm at home all day with two under 4's, smoke outside though) so if anyone has any tips throw them my way ;-)
If you want to pot your DB!y cash til March, Saver, you're welcome to do so, but either way you can still add it to your end of year savings so pop the amount on your siggy. All VERY best wishes with you giving quitting a try!!!I think most of us who've smoked only ever 'enjoy' 1 or 2 a day out of the ones we smoked, so why not give it a go. I see moomin's given you great advice and I'll send you one of my PMs that I used to send all new stoppers. If needs be then alter your daily routine around so the habitual times aren't there to keep jogging your memory. The worst thing about quitting is - the thinking about doing it beforehand, it's usually far, far easier once we actually take the plunge, truly! The last thread I ran is !here!, have a look and see what you think. There are also 3 others to be found, put a search in for "Giving Up Smoking", you'll find GUS I, 2 and 3.
Oh dear, Sam, that's rotten - and so's she!!! :mad:That's the problem I'm afraid, sadly a little power goes to the heads of some folk; give her time to settle down and she might not be so bad. Meanwhile, you can talk to us about it, anything to help.moomin wrote:Walked home from work again so that's 2 miles added to the day's total and £1.50 potted along with some pennies from my purse.
Any time I wanted to quit and grab the next bus I thought about the pleasure of potting those coins, Sue! :j
Congratulations to you, moomin!!! :T You did really well and have made yourself really proud and I'm so proud of you too!!! :j BTW, Here's a gold star for you, moomin, for all the help given to Saver88, wonderful. :staradmin
Well done, fishcakes.......
........you also, Lynsey.

Ok, if that really is your wish, ALM, but why not leave your name on for now in case you get on better that you hoped.
Excellent work, Hollygym!!!!! :T You should be really proud of yourself, your OH too!
VERY good, themstarrynights, a darned good find too!
A lovely crispy £10er in the pot after shopping!!
You are ALL saving brilliantly, folks!!! Keep it up!Have a really lovely weekend, all potters, and keep up the saving!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.

6p in the pot this evening, found on the window sill looking all forlorn
couldnt just leave them there on those cold, rough tiles, so now they have lots of new friends in the warm cozy pot
Tis been a very spendy month this month  bloke has just left after fitting a towbar to the car for the princely sum of £369  but DH said hes done a proper job of it, all the wires are soldered rather than just clipped like some of the other companies do, hes been out there 4 hrs bless him as its bloomin cold out there! But now we can start looking for a trailer ready for the summer and the huge garden job we need to do
Will be starting my mothers cake tomorrow ready for sunday, was going to start it tonight but didnt have enough butter and the towbar stopped me getting to the shop, so tomorrow will be nowt but baking!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
