Hello everyone, especially all the lovely new potters!:hello: A warm welcome to you all. Welcome to the [STRIKE]mad house[/STRIKE] erm happy family
It's great on here...
Just popped in to say a lovely 50p potted today. I went with DD and family to the local Theatre yesterday to see the panto (it was my Christmas treat to them) but dear Son in Law wouldn't let me pay for the coffee or the ice creams (for 5 of us, bless him) so I have no more change at the mo, but the good news is I still have my £20 intact :T
I have sold 3 items on good old eB*y today so I will report the nett figure once I've posted the items tomorrow. More items listed today so fingers crossed.... I've worked out our 2014 budget and it looks like we have an increase to come on several billsso I've re-jigged everything and I think I've saved us about £70 on home insurance so well pleased with that.
It's gone really cold here now. I keep putting more & more layers on and I will soon look like the Michelin man!
Stay warm everyone and prayers for anyone liable to flooding xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Hi, Can I join in please! I have a lovely pot I got in the sales from Boots a few years ago. I won't have a target but I've chucked a load of change in it today to get started. What kinds of coins do we put in is it a little bit of everything or do we not include coppers etc...?
Thank you! Looking forward to getting a number
Welcome to the group Lucy! Sue-UU does a fab job of looking after this group, and she'll give you your number soon. In the meantime, have a look at the guidelines for this challenge in the first post of this thread to give you some ideas.
I personally don't put in £1 or £2 coins, but anything lower goes in, as does any 'roadkill' I find on the floor, whatever denomination! Others put whatever loose change they have at the end of the day on them - it's really up to you.
Keep us posted on your challenge - good luck!

Afternoon all.
Welcome to more newbies - good luck to you all.
A special welcome to the newbies to MSE, a great site.
Just a single £1 coin potted.
No road-kill for myself, I must look harder!! I would lobe a note road-kill though.
