A very warm welcome, littlesmurfette, Luckylucy and KingLarsson. It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving, posting and joining in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1st post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Hi folks, I'll be back later, but at the mo am very busy.

I can see that grand saving is continuing - very well done to all.

    See you later. :D
Enjoy a lovely Sunday, SPCers, and keep saving. :D

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :D Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.
    Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in. :grinheart

This is definitely addictive. Have just transferred all my "stuff" to the new handbag I received for Christmas. Found £2.60 in the bottom of the old one, so straight into the pot it went. Also cleared the change out of my purse, so a further £2 coin plus quite a bit of silver.
Will need to start thinking of new sources of change for potting once the loose change round the house has all been found. With my shiny new money managing mind-set this does not mean getting a £20 note and buying something just to create change to pot!!
    Enjoy your Sunday everyone!!:)
Little steps and great strides both get you there.

£1.50 gone into the pot for me today. I really do think I have got into a new mentality and really question whether I need something or not. Even sent oh out to get the groceries with a list - I know he wouldn't dare not stick to it - and cash sent with him (hence the change). Happy potting everyone.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

    Hello,

Have had a change of heart and have decided to count my change saved as I go along, as I think it will encourage me to know that I have some savings even if tiny.

    So: coppers = 79p, silver = £23.45 and gold = £31.

Not too bad as this is only from the beginning of the year.

I am currently doing the fiscal fast on the old style board so i don't expect to have much change to pot. Not quite sure how it will all pan out as I do most of my shopping over the internet.

    Good luck everyone.

Will be back later to catch up with you all, but need to get our lunch on.

    Peony x

    Afternoon all,

Today I have potted £4.67 in Roadkill (of which I do feel a little guilty as £4.65 was in a little plastic bag which reminds me of the sort of thing my mum would use, I found it at a bus stop so if I didn't bag it someone else almost certainly would have :( ) AND £1.30 change from a fiver after my trip to Asda.

    £5.97 potted today :)

Have had slim pickings this week, 30p I found in my desk drawer at work (rainy day chocolate fund) now in the pot - then I just remembered some bags of coins that were stuck in a drawer. Ages ago DS got some coins from my mum, which he bagged up, but there were some bits that didn't make enough to fill the coin bag to the full amount to take to the bank. Just counted them out & it was £5.20 in assorted silver ware, gone into the pot - decluttering AND adding to the sealed pot, bonus!

£1 today for me, this thread moves so fast, I have no hope of keeping up!! Miserable day here. I'm thinking of having a look in my old handbags, see if I can find any change lurking. Thanks for the top tip! :D
