22p potted found on my floor when cleaning. Am permanently looking at floor now to see what else I can find :j

Wishing everyone a happy new year when it comes

You're definitely an SPCer, tokicat, heads bowed and only cash on the brain! :rotfl: It defines us all.
No Sue....5 bags a day...but if I wait until November to Pot everything I'll have to go every single day for about 30 days and that's just not practical....But don't worry, I'll keep a running total of how much I've banked...and it won't be spent!!

Ahh, I'm with you, Helen, though that's not bad at all. I wasn't worried about the running total as I know you're fully aware of that. I was just curious about the bankers (ooops nearly wrote something else then! :o). A very Happy New Year to you also, Helen!

A very Happy New Year to you as well, Caz. Let's hope it brings the patter of 4 feet at the end of it. ;) However did you cope with that bally racket all night?!! I truly don't think I could have coped. Keep some spare ones in, Caz.

Fantastic potting, Tom!!!! :j You're caring ahead now.

You reckon, nu1isit? I'd heard a LOT different to that!! Bless your little darlings.

A very Happy New Year to you also, nanto3girls and skilly.

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :D Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.
    Sue x

    Hello all,

Emptied my purse of all its coinage and so have set up saving pots for gold and silver. Need to find a container for the coppers. Will have a scout around the house shortly.

I am not keeping a running total of amounts put in, so I am not tempted to raid the containers before its time!

As I am currently doing a fiscal fast I may not have much coinage to pot, although any coinage left in hubby's trousers I will pot!! One of my rewards for doing the washing, ha! As this money will be spent on both of us it isn't as bad as it sounds I hasten to add.

Can I join please? I started a 79p sealed coin tin (the home bargains ones) in November time and the children were given them for Christmas from a well meaning relative - but I am snaffling them for me to use for sealed pots as they have lots of money boxes already.
I'm saving 5, 10 and 20p coins in my sealed tins, 2 and 1p coins go into a jar in the cupboard.
I clear out my purse every time I spend anything and get rid of anything smaller than a 50p, hopefully I'll manage to save a chunk this year :)

£2 potted for me today - so good progress being made.Today I cashed my spending money for January and got it all in new £5 notes, the "theory" being that I won't want to spend the crispy new notes. If there are any left -you know where they will end..... Happy New Year everyone.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

Mystikia, there's nothing quite like Christmas to let you know you need to save for the next and virtually have it covered! All the best with your savings.

A gold star for that welcome, bellevie. :staradmin Just add the note "see1st post of Page 1 while you're waiting" to it and it'll be perfect. ;)

Very well saved, Peony! You're so right about hubby's pocket pottings too, and absolutely no worries about the part highlighted in red. By and large Husbands aren't aware just how much cash is needed for Christmas, so in the long term we do them a power of good without them even knowing it!! ;)

Good for you, nowpanicking, and you have a wonderful night too.

I love your method, AlwaysHappy, and whatever works, stick with it and pot, pot, pot!!! :j
