  • Happy New Year Potters XXXX

I am happily watching John Bishop. God that man makes me laugh.

I am especially happy tonight as I found (whilst clearing out the spare room of doom) two money boxes my Grandad made! so tomorrow I will transferring my sealed pot to one of them.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!_party__party__party_
Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year, with lots of health, wealth, and potting-ness.
My 11yo had been abit disappointed we had no plans for NYE,so I tried to look for something locally to do,nothing was on (or was sold out). She phoned afew friends to try and organise a sleepover, but nobody was around.
I felt really sorry for her,so tried to organise abit of fun, just ourselves(6 people-should be considered a party on its own,eh?).And as it was, everyone had a lovely NYE.It was alot of fun:
This afternoon,we went to the cinema, then tonight we all snuggled up on the sofa and watched The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol,Wallace and Gromit Three Cracking Adventures, and something else I can't remember :o.We had party food, and I even dusted off the chocolate fountain, which they loved :D.
To my amazement, still had 4 children (youngest 4yo),awake at midnight .
    They were,however,sound asleep by 12.30am .
Potting-wise,I potted my December roadkill: £24.18 .I actually found afew pounds more than that this month(included a £5 and a £10 note :T:T,both in a Claires store,on separate occasions),but I think my 10yo son must have claimed the other couple of pounds, just cos he was with me :rotfl:

Well the new year is finally upon us:T

I have potted a bit more change this morn from hubbies return from the shop last night (no ice lollies! - it's the wrong time of year and no call for it - he was told! - so just a can of pop purchased! As we don't have any in the cupboard he couldn't have one I say sarcastically;))

So first pot for the new year made.

Definitely going to look harder this year for road kill - still haven't found any since I started this challenge:mad: (maybe sparky has got the whole of the north of the country covered?)

Sue UU thankyou again for another lovely shiny star xx

Have a great day everyone (work for me later)

DreamerHelen - our "first-foot" - well done and best of luck this year, you did terrific towards the end of last years challenge. Don't forget that "free" holiday.

I potted 1 x £2 and 5 x £1 coins = £7 potted and my highest single days potting of the year so far. ;)

  • Happy New Year everyone!! Did nothing for it as we have a nine month old who wakes at 6am everyday. still we did a pretend count down at 10pm, so we brought in the new year in style!!

Really excited for this challenge this year, although am having a slight dilemma- I have to pay for parking in a few places every week, so I'm not sure how much change to pot and how much to keep out for parking.

does anyone else have this dilemma?

Im really lucky in that I have free parking at work - but just thought why don't you have a small holding pot ( see Sue UU fab idea pg 1) for change that you might need and then if you don't need it by the end of the week/month pot it? Just an idea:D
