Good afternoon and Happy new year, I would like to join the challenge if thats ok. At the moment I save into seperate jars, a brown jar for pennies which goes towards seaside holiday arcade spending for gradchildren, a pot for everything else and OH has a pot for 20ps again to go towards holiday spending for grandkids. I am tempted to change my own pot to a sealed one but oroblem is if I stopped putting my 20 pences into oh's pot the grankids holuday spending money would suffer. I really want to do this challenge but it means spreading my savings between three pots. Any suggestions welcome.SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
I hope, no matter what you were all doing last night, that everyone happily saw out the old year and welcomed the new one in in a great way. Have a very safe, healthy and happyNew Year, everyone!
WOW Emily - £50 after ONE night?!!!!!!! That is totally brilliant potting, WELL DONE!! :TLynsey wrote:Welcome to more newbies - best wishes and good luck with your savings.
Any "lurkers"? Please come and join up - no need to be frightened, we are a friendly helpful lot and you will feel the benefit of your efforts later in the year. Make your "New Year's Resolution" to have Xmas 2014 for "free".
I have to quote Lynsey's post: come on in and join us, everyone - why not save now to keep Christmas as paid for as possible. You'll be so pleased you did when November comes!
Saver-upper, yours was a terrific post and just goes to show the enjoyment a family can have together, those are the times they'll remember most and all children deserve happy memories. YOU'VE just created many lasting ones. :j
Good to see you, greenanne, stay with us for motivation.
Buffy - I bet your Granddad would have a huge smile on his face right now. A Happy New Year to you!
You did yourself proud Meowhouse!! It gave me a real chuckle just now as I imagined the whole scene; though why you say "stupid man" is beyond me as from your point of view, it's fantastic!!! :j Keep on happily and proudly clearing up behind him....a bit like his personal valet!!! :rotfl:
That's some serious saving, Nikkiclaire! Brilliant work, for your little lad too, very wise in helping him with money when so young. :T
There's nowt measly about 50p in the pot, Sams. Have a good day, a good year too and a much better one for you.
You did pretty darned well anyway, Cauliflower! Marvellous. :jmoneymanager wrote:Hi can I join in again this year?
Apologies but I didn't declare my total last year but it was around £167. I don't normally open my pot until the second week of December so I can get more in there as the funds is for Christmas. This year I am determined to pot more so that I can open it at the end of November. My target this year is £200 and I have already potted £11.24.
Hi moneymanager, I sorted your post out yesterday and welcomed you back, about 3 pages ago. Anyway, see post 1 of page 1 for your No - and a very warm welcome home!!
PLEASE be very careful, everyone! Weather conditions here are terrible with the flooding of houses in the next village and our village river perilously close to the top...and still all the water to come down from the hills! If you don't need to go out then DON'T!!
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!
Very many thanks indeed.Sue x
Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. cattysmum - why not continue saving in all 3 pots (I take it that's your real wish), but include the savings of ALL 3 pots in your declaration in November?
