A very warm welcome, NeroliJasmin, Kayleigh251186 and becksxxx. It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving, posting and joining in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1st post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.Tinker.bell wrote: »Hi Sue-UU sorry, thought I had read all of the first post, but obviously missed that bit! Have been back and read it all now!! oops!!
looking forward to saving!
You're forgiven, Tinker,bell...just this once.
Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, Kerry, we're fortunate and higher up - if we flood the rest of the village is really in the mire! There are several homes by the river and it's notorious for flooding the closest homes. The River Parret has been flooded for ages and so very many of the fields completely under water. We're now just hoping our Granddaughter can get back from work! Thanks so much, you're a sweetie.
Happy new year everyone, another 12.78 potted today for me !!!!
Hi Anna, a Happy New Year to you also! Please can you kindly put your new No 114 on your siggy for me? Thanks a lot.
Well done, fishcakes. Weather terrible here and gusting up even worse now.Can i join please already put the dates for opening and submitting in my diary for this year so aiming to be in line with everyone else
Welcome home, summertea! I saw you on SPC 6 and reminded you there that all numbers have been renewed. I came back and added you to the list, so if you can kindly swap your No over I'd really appreciate it.
Very good on potting, cattysmum!
There aren't many I forget, samtoby, though with you mostly it was the boat and where you live.Be sure to let up know how your pregnancy goes. All the best.
Excellent Nikki! Ah, actually, oh dear.Sorry, didn't read it all in one go. Fingers crossed on finding that card!
Wooo-hay Tom!! :j You did so well.mommyof4 wrote:Sue-UU local FB selling pages? Sorry for being thick lol
FB being Facebook (if you belong to it), mommyof4. There are selling pages there and people advertise local services on them, a lot cheaper than shops or Apple. IF you belong to FB then type something like "ipad screen repairs" in the search bar. If you're not signed up and don't want to be then is it possible to ask a friend who has a FB account?frugaldances wrote:SUE_UU I've potted £70 which is the money I have spare after payday which I haven't spent? Can I say this is potting? Also I'm now wanting to use the pot to save for our holiday money which is mid march so can I open my pot then and then start again when I get back? I'm basically hoping not to spend a lot of money in jan and feb and potting what I have left as well as spare change like normal. Can I do this in this challenge please? Really hope so as I'm find this thread very motivating :T
Yes, that'll be perfectly ok, frugaldances, you're quite welcome. Re the £70 saved after payday spends, that's brilliant and encourages folk to keep as much to budget as possible, so I'm all for it!! :j Be happy with what you're doing, just please include it all with your declaration in November.
Oh brilliant, Caz, I love the "eau du wet dog" bit. :rotfl: Our lab has just gone out with DH, she had a wee earlier than belted back indoors as if to say "you can keep your walkies mate!" So, we'll have eau du wet dog soon until she's spruced up. What a day! Just as they forecast though.
PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. Please change numbers ASAP folks.
If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!
Very many thanks indeed.Sue x
Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. Afternoon
Just been to post a letter and popped into asda to get some paracetamol, I bought those and a pencil case and the cashier didn't have any £5 notes so I got £6.54 in change, which I have potted seeing as it was coins.
Not a bad start to the year
