    Hi all
    Here's wishing you a happy, saving 2014.
No potting for me in the last few days, spent my last cash yesterday on a Chinese takeaway.
Back to work tomorrow, it'll be a shock!
Still raining here, hope you're all OK.

  • Hi everyone

Wow, this thread is so fast paced that I can't keep up! Hopefully, I will have more chance to do so from tomorrow as it will be back to normal in the sweetie household ;) House now tidy and fresh for 2014 and I did a smaller than usual shop at mr M's today. It was so quiet and peaceful to shop that I came in well under budget. Could that also be because I left DH at home?? I checked my receipt to find I had been charged £1 too much  It was swiftly refunded... so in my pot it popped!

A belated hug and 'thank you' Sue for my shiny new star! :T
A huge welcome too to all the new members and welcome back samtoby! Wonderful news about the baby too :T
I will now try to back track on all the posts and news I've missed.....

    Happy New Year Everyone!

    Hi,

I would like to join your SPC for 2014 please.

I know what I want to do is not in the spirit of this challenge so if there is another more relevant thread, please let me know.

I want to document my savings but with the view of using the money to contribute to the 1% challenge, in other words withdrawing regularly to make additional payments to CC bills, instead of saving towards Xmas.

I will update regularly and keep a track of total saved during the year.

    Thanks

oooo mumof3, I watched that earlier :D never seen it before, it wasnt bad for a kids film :D am now watching Harry potter 7!

Well went to the co-0p today and they were bloomin shut  its only a bank holiday for jebus sake, what do they think they are doing being shut! so had to go to the Spar and she gave me £13 in £1 coins as she only had 1 x £5 note  I only bought some milk! so ive chucked the odd 45p in the pot and a £1 as me mum gave me some parsnips out of my dads garden to save me buying some, but im now at a stalemate as ive got £12 in £1 coins still in my purse and coins are for the pot! but if I pot them then ive got £5 to last me for the next couple of weeks  what to do? what to do?
