Went back to mr t today to buy all the stuff I forgot yesterday :rotfl: miss lily bought herself Disney infinity for the xbox . . . . Unfortunately she doesn't own an xbox . . . . So she took ownership of her brothers :rotfl: he was not impressed!

DH has convinced me to buy her one for her birthday in 2 weeks an as I still have over £350 in win money I can't see a reason not too, it will def stop the arguments! The only problem is I already have a bike in the loft for her  someone is going to be waaaaaaay more spoilt on her birthday than I initially intended :o plus I need to rejig all the small bits I have for her and see if anything will be suitable come Christmas :o

As DH said, she rarely gets spoilt and has never had what jake got when he was younger, so a bit of spoiling one day in her life isn't a crime if we can afford it :)

No pennies for the pot as we paid with dh's card for the points :)

    A very safe
    h
    appy and healthy New Year,

    e v e r y o n e
    !!

    You can certainly join us
, Midgie, tom07, maccag and blue_mango. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 1of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 27th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Midgie, this is the very best way I know to be penny careful. ;)

Well done on that £5er, gottogo!

A little 2p today maybe, Saver88, but maybe the promise of better to come later!

You're doing really well, frugaldances, stay that way.

Keep your nose to the ground, Monkeyballs, it's paid off so far.
Right I have just managed to count the money in my sealed pot I know that is not the idea but was excited to know how much I was starting with. I have been saving for two weeks and have saved £34.i hope I can keep going cause I'm very good at spending but I'm sure with support I will xxx

That's fantastic, princess-angelica! :jI can quite understand how you'd wish to count it to start with, however, whether you do or not from here on is entirely up to you. :D

Thanks for the laugh, nu1isit?, and I've absolutely no doubt that jakes-mum and LC 2 could be traced back to anyone (oh what a thought!) bless them. :(

55p is never modest, Eyebright, imagine IF you had that every day of the year!! :D

A really brilliant start, TriBadger!! :j
I'll be round tomorrow Sue,after I have been to the inlaws, and done my jobs there.Welcome new members.

Oh that's so very kind of you, nanto3girls, of course I'd never have asked you understand. :happylove

Excellent work, CariadsNewStart! A great idea on what to do with it too. If you could kindly pop your banking total on your signature as you go along everything's just perfect. ;)

I also think that having the support of the thread and the banter most certainly helps when it comes to wanting to be committed - I think I have saved so much more money that I would have really just frittered away prior to joining the group - I'm intrigued to know what's in my pot already but the beauty of the sealing means we have to be patient and wait:mad: roll on 27th Nov 14

I couldn't agree more, Meowhouse, and was so pleased you threw the red highlighted words in! ;) Seriously though, the 'everyone's in it together' thing really does help us all to stay strong ad focused all year.

You've got the idea, Eljhem, leave no penny un-potted! ;)

Oh, thank Heavens for that, VickyA! I became all hot, dizzy and had palpitations on reading your DH wanted the cash. A 2 pot house obviously.

VERY good work, claireyfairy, I do believe you're starting to redeem yourself already. :p

Thank so much, glassy, an a very Happy New Year for you and your little one too.

Oh jakes-mum, what can I say apart from :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: Oh not again for poor Jake. :(
It's all becoming too much, I hear my bed calling. Sleep well everyone. whatever the cost of your bedding! :rotfl: I've no idea where that last bit came from CFairy, not me!

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :D Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

    Very many thanks indeed.
    Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in. :grinheart

  • Spent the day trying to get my house back to some semblance of order after Christmas:tree and decorations down, washing pile no longer taller than me,surfaces decluttered and cleaned, polished, floors vacuumed. It was all looking so calm and ordered until OH and children came home :rotfl:.
In all of that,I only found a 50p piece, but when she came home,my 4yo gave me a 2p piece she had found on the floor of the car,so have potted 52 p today.

  • Welcome to all newbies,

after my sales slip earlier this week l am pleased to announce things have come full circle. Potted £2.70 earlier from scaveging some loose change around my room and after being dragged out (l say dragged as I was having a mad nesting fit at the time) to Bingo l managed to win £200, I did end up splitting it 3 ways so we each come away with £66 odd! Not bad considering I wasn't going to go! The £60 is going to go into little Miss Bambis savings as im sure to need it for her at some point or another.

I'm so sad as l literally cannot wait until tomorrow, another nesting spree is in order for the rest of the house and I'm sure to find something laying about. This finding & potting money thing is very addictive. Also I'm making it my mission to find a piece of jewellery that has mysteriously gone walkabouts.

    Happy Savings Everyone
