Odds and bits as usual. Need to get out there and get some cash!

Went into town on Sat and saw a nice terramundi in a charity shop for £5..... sooo tempted but resisted it, dont need it, have a pot already. Instead I bought three little presents from Boots, all ready for birthdays throughout the year.

Hi Tom07, check my post # 1383 on page 70 and you'll see that you were officially welcomed aboard with 3 others. Don't forget your No goes on your signature, instructions on how to do so are in the welcome note. Save well!!

A shiny gold star for you in helping me and Tom out, claireyfairy. :staradmin

Oh very good work, Saver-upper. :D Bless your little darling on rescuing that 2p. :A

            Excellent potting, skilly!
after my sales slip earlier this week l am pleased to announce things have come full circle. Potted £2.70 earlier from scaveging some loose change around my room and after being dragged out (l say dragged as I was having a mad nesting fit at the time) to Bingo l managed to win £200, I did end up splitting it 3 ways so we each come away with £66 odd! Not bad considering I wasn't going to go! The £60 is going to go into little Miss Bambis savings as im sure to need it for her at some point or another.

This finding & potting money thing is very addictive. Also I'm making it my mission to find a piece of jewellery that has mysteriously gone walkabouts.

            B xx

That's splendid news, Bambisbelle!!! :T Ok, it was a 3 way split, but if they'd have won if would have been the same for you so well done! Good to hear you're finding this addictive, saving can give as big a kick as spending. :D All the best with the walkabout jewellery.

            Well done, lynnsey30!! It can't hide. :)

Oh mommyof4, that was awful and your poor little lad. :A However, can you claim off your "house contents insurance"? Either that or here's message from jakes-mum.....

.....Mommyof4 check your local FB selling pages if your on there as we have quite a few phone/ipad screen repair blokes on ours who do it a darned sight cheaper than Apple will.

I've just booked a mystery 4 day coach tour for £69 each (instead of hitting the sales) I'm sure we'll enjoy that more than the sales crush.

A marvellous idea, lucyhope, that sounds like a LOT for your money too. Enjoy yourself and please let us know where you end up going! :D

            Great minds, Lynsey!

I see what you mean, jakes-mum, he sounds so like our lad at that age, bless em! They do change....after a few years! :D

I'll give you "Boss and conscience", mummytummy. Here's a gold star though for your help. :staradmin

Lovely to see you, hummingbird, and to know you know exactly what's asked with the banking.

Now, now, sparky, don't get turning all scroogie on us, Just look ahead to next year, I'll bet a bob J is! Well done on the cash saved. How much longer to go now for your holiday?

Crikey! Another one with next year's pressies almost finished, fishcakes, well done - with the £2s too.

That really is brilliant resolve, Sams!! It just goes to show how we can change. :j
Have a good day, folks, a terrible night with more trees down locally. :(

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :D Please change numbers ASAP folks.

If you've already updated your No, please could you kindly make sure it's correct as I made a blunder to start with!

            Very many thanks indeed.
            Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in. :grinheart

Returned a load of sale stuff today (well Next and Boots) and both tried to argue that my refund had to be onto a giftcard even though I had paid in cash/paypal. After some negotiation they agreed that paypal was the same as paying my card and that a cash sale could be refunded in cash. Argh.

£18.50 back from Next, donated £8 towards the littles one ds game but the change will be potted. The £80  Boots refund will be withdrawn once credited and potted as it came from Christmas funds.

            Hello everyone :D...

Its sounds like jakes-mum and LC have met my Mam :rotfl: :D :rotfl:. Here kids, have some sugar, have something sugary in a different colour, and have something cunningly disguised as good, that has a ton of sugar inside it . It's a triple stacked battery pack, for hyperactivity :rotfl:  :rotfl:. Then she sits and smiles while the pinball themselves all over the park, beach, house etc., etc., etc. It's okay though, I'm going to return the favour one day, when she offers to baby sit them. 'Here kids, eat this, it's nice, it's called a Kendal Mint Cake. Mmmm, yummy, yum, yum :p :rotfl: :p.

Found my first washing machine roadkill today, so it's went straight into the pot :A :D :A.

Hope you've all had a good day potting .

          6. Hi SPARKY

Here are your directions for that lovely restaurant

Just remember It's me who is giving them to you :rotfl:

If you have the stand with the square at the back of you and look in front of you you will see lots of restaurants with outside seating.
cross the road and turn left you will see a side street go down that lots of shops and Maccixs and KFX are down there keep going to the end and you can see a big arch go through then there is another one go through that and you come out to a park turn right now keep to the path and it comes to a point where you can go straight on or go right. Go right and you can see the Opera house on the opposite side just walk up this road and it is on the left just before a chemist the path slopes there and there it is !!!! It has the menu on the wall doesn't look much but inside its lovely.

Now if anyone is in Poland when Sparky is and sees a Pierce Brosnan look alike muttering "Wait till I get hold of LC2"
Could you just throw a few Zlotys on the floor to take his mind of me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
