    Hello all,

hope you all have had a lovely Christmas? Ours was very MSE indeed and still it was the best one we've ever had! There were no fights although lots of tears fell as we realised it could possibly be two or three family members last Christmas which was why it was so special and in a good way, no sadness :)

I have a confession to make, I've been to the sales already however I do have a good reason for it and I saved an extortionate amount of money :D l had to buy some clothes and essentials for little miss Bambi and instead of paying a grand total of £370 RRP. I managed to kit out little miss for the next two years and l only paid £174.64!!!! A complete snippet of the price :j

To cap off the past few days of good fortune our backdoor neighbours have decided to fix their fences after weeks of them destroying our back garden and our dogs going into their garden. Woohoo no more late night dog rescues!

And I've managed to pot £5 worth of coins :j

A big welcome to all newbies, [STRIKE]our Sue will be along soon to allocate you with a number and also welcome you to the fold.[/STRIKE] ignore that I was beaten to the punch :D We're all a lovely bunch here.

    B xx

Potted lots of shrapnel which included 5p road kill whilst walking dogs and 1p on floor near supermarket. It's getting to the stage where I get disappointed if i return home from anywhere without road kill!! Oops... !
Been watching more episodes of extreme cheapskates on DS7's ipad. Those people really are extreme lol.

  • I have a confession, I went to the shops to buy paint for my bedroom. Well I've had my eye on a gorgeous duvet set from habitat, the duvet cover was £95 & the pillowcases were £20 each. The cover was reduced to £75 & pillowcases were £14; plus an extra 20% off, I just couldn't leave it on the shelf.

All in including the paint I got £29.96 discount plus the £32 off the original price. I shall add the £61.96 to my pot. I'm so glad I didn't buy them before Christmas but still feel a bit guilty. ;)

  • Hi folks. Haven't been around here since xmas eve. Hope everyones had a great xmas! ours has been very busy & looking forward to winding down for the next few days. I too hit the sales *oops* but, like bambisbelle, it was all for the little lady not me or the hubby. On boxing day I braved the next sale for the 1st time ever & got £227 worth of next clothes for £87 then went to mothercare outlet yesterday & got £150 worth of clothes for £38! :D
Because of xmas money & vouchers we got for DD the whole lot actually only cost me & the hubby £27!! :D & shes kitted out for the rest of the year :)
Ive not managed to pot much over the last few days but £1.20 has gone in there today from the change I had.
Hope everyones ok, & welcome to everyone who has joined :D

A no spend day for me so rewarded my pot with 20p for being a good girl - then later, was on my hands and knees looking for something under the bed - ds, had lost a cheque!! It wasn't there - surprise surprise (later turned up in the kitchen but I was checking EVERYWHERE) - anyway, there on the floor was a lovely £1 coin, which was my reward for my aching knees. Finders keepers and all that. Have a good day potting everyone.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
  • I hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Mine was so lovely so much pleasure gained from my almost three year old's excitement and wonder.

£3 added to the pot today. Money which has been in my purse since Christmas Eve and not spent. Only at Christmas would money remain unspent for so long.
