Hi NSK
Been a while since I've been on here but determined to make a fresh start in 2014. I might even start my own diary.
What I am hoping for is a nice shiney news thread from you for January.
You've done so well keeping everyone going this year and congratulations on being df. Hope I'm in the same situation this time next year.

Hi again
NSK I think I must of missed something. Looking at everyone's trolly's I am assuming that the shops are closed for at least 2 weeks
What will I do for food...oh wait a minute the shops are open again on Boxing Day
I would love to look in some of these people's bins over the next couple of weeks to see how much of what they bought has been binned -well not literally but I'd love someone to do that for me. :rotfl:
I have probably also bought too much but at least I know that it will ALL get eaten. If not by us or my stepson then by the dogs and the chickens

MrsGSR I think I have become anti-shopping since my debt free date. Nothing seems worth it now and I keep saying to myself - "yes of course these skin tight jeans (since I have put on weight) are FINE even if I can barely move in them and risk ripping my bum cheeks out if I bend over, I certainly don't need NEW ONES"... #groan...
Haha yeah thats the folks I'm talking about :rotfl:
I do desperately need some new tops but I'm just too tight to shell out. Maybe I'll check out fleabay.

SFD number 9 for me today!
The weather here has been horrendous as I am sure it is in the rest of the country. Just one more day at work then off until the 2nd January and I cannot wait! Looking forward to a nice chilled time and not spending any money.
Have a good Christmas Eve everyone!0 -

Another one for the short and round brigade here.
Although hopefully not so round by the time summer comes.
Today (by that I mean yesterday) was another spend free day so that is number 10!! I have six days to get 5 more so I am going to push hard.
I have no money to go shopping until the 1st January anyways so it should be doable.
Hope everyone has a wonderful xmas eve.

Morning all!
DH totally overspent on the rest of the christmas shopping yesterday, he said it was up to me whether it came out of January budget. Still i think we have so much that I will be cooking with leftovers for the next few weeks.
On another note he told me he was in credit on a card he did a balance transfer on by about £100 I said slap it on the new card pronto! Oh and he said that he only has the one CC now so I think the number in my signature is incorrect so will have to update that at some point because he says his DFD is August 31st now mine is March 31st and the number in my signature is both our debts.
Anyway, I'm signing off for the next few days as the festivities begin.
I'm really happy with my progress this month (bar the shopping overspend) and again I would like to thank NSK for completely changing my outlook on things, you have made such a huge impact on me and so many others. I am amazed at what we have done so far. Thank you to all of you for being such a huge support the last few months, there are some amazing people on here.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas xxSquirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Happy Christmas Eve :santa2:
Thank you all for your support! The jingly socks paid off! I even added a little purple bell to my necklace for extra Jingles! All presents are completed, just to finish the last of the cards this morning and then I'll be ready to have a glass of wine!
Calling14 - I hope the funeral went as well as it could. *hugs*
I find the Next sales incredibly scary! All social skills and logic disappear out of the window and I have literally been in the middle of two women fighting over a pair of trousers which quite frankly wouldn't fit either of them. I think if you know exactly what you want and can duck in and duck out quickly then it might work.
Ended up with a Spend Day on Sunday, had to pick up dessert to take to my friend's- not quite enough time to bake anything. Had a lovely time catching up with them and playing with their new puddy cat!
Had to pick up a couple of bits yesterday and bought some mince pies and christmas puds for the local food bank. When I put my mince pies in the food bank collection basket I noticed that someone else had put a pack in the basket. I got home and told my Ma what I had donated and it turns out that she was the other Mince Pie donor! hehe!
Still only at 11sfds But think I should crack the 15 target by the end of the month.
Planned spend this eve- an eve of merriment with old school friends is a foot! So I shall bid you all now a-Very Merry Christmas and a Thrifty New year 2014!!

Sooo.................does this mean I actually have real Hobbitses..?..(although I am not assuming you are all hairy as well)...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0
