    Hi all,

Spend day today as went to get the last Christmas bits that I can get now and had a cake and a drink with my friend who drove me (OH needed my practical car). I need to wait until 23rd when I'm near a specific shop for one gift and the final one is a cheese gift so need to wait a few more days until they have a good used by date on them.

Planning on writing the Christmas cards and doing some more decluttering, which I'm finding very therapeutic at the moment :) Whilst I don't think my family are technically hoarders, most of them have every cupboard crammed full of items, just in case. I find having too much stuff quite overwhelming but still hold on to way too many items. I have taken on NSKs mantra regarding other people making use of items I don't use/need, rather than letting them sit in cupboards unused. I'm finding this very helpful, thanks NSK :)

Need to walk the dogs in a minute but it's blowing a gale and it looks miserable and cold :(

Hope you all have productive days :)

thanks Bex296 she seems a bit brighter today and no blood being coughed up so fingers crossed! :)

Not much to report other than the vet's was £150, which makes £200 this week spent there on her. I do hope she's going to be ok, that's the main thing. Does put a bit of a dent in our planned December totals to chuck at the 'monster' (I love that idea Splodgethefirst!) I also like the idea that our monster is getting smaller and less scary each month due to our debt-slaying attitudes! :T

Think that there will be spend today as DH is poorly but wants a wander round the supermarket later to pick up more lemsip and treats for the kitty... not happy given our budget this month but I guess they are essential spends. It just seems there are SO MANY essential spends every month that we haven't planned for :(

Ah well, I am going to employ Applemuncher's philosophy and be grateful for kitty being a bit perkier (and alive!) me and cat being well, DH being on the mend, there being only one week and one day left at work before we get 2 weeks off together.

    Hope everyone's having a nice Saturday x

  • Hey all...

    Good day here so far...

I decided to open my coin tin and start my new one on Solstice(21st)... I had £156 in it... not quite as much as I'd hoped for... but, together with an unspent £40 in my wallet I've managed to top up my Annual Expenses account ready for 2014... (I was a bit behind with it). On top of that...

:rudolf: Today = SFD number 10 :rudolf:

    Gym sessions 1/3...

... so all in all, feeling pleased with myself!!!

    Evening all.

It was my night out tonight so a spend day. Very much worth it as my Dad gave me some money to use and it only cost me a tenner for the whole night's drinks.
    :D

My new ward is absolutely lovely and brilliant and I am feeling fantastic. I am so glad I went and met everyone in a social environment.

  • Good Morning Campers, hope you are well!

I feel better today for a good night rest. The night before I was awake most of the night, not good at all. Lying down was uncomfy which makes sleep tricky! Still a bit sore so will be reaching for the painkillers shortly.

I have a peacefully morning planned later as M and his Dad are off to the cinema to see Despicable Me 2 at the cheap family showing.

Happy to declare SFD no 8 for yesterday and today should be no 9 but won't count my chickens until later.

M has just come in and wants the iPad! I can't be bothered to argue so more from me later. Happy Sunday x

Well i had a spendy day yesterday. Have to admit that I'm most probably way over budget now, although I haven't tracked it properly?! Been tracking my food and petrol purchases though. My credit card found its way back into my purse so ended up passing Boots and buying the Soap and Glory stuff :o Have given it to my partner to give to me for for Xmas as hes feeling bad hat he doesnt have much money to get me anything.

Which leads on to grrrrrrr - his negativity is driving me mad at the moment! He feels like the world is out to get him, when really the bottom line is he has poor finances and no back up which is driving him mad when his car goes wrong, like yesterday.....again. Spent over £500 twice in the last onth alone now its been towed to the garage. Now thinks he can afford a audi q7 on lease!! I will win this battle.Trying to get us in a position off having £1k emergency fund but realistically cant do until febs wages. Its only a car as i keep reminding him, not his health!

    Rant over :D

    Enjoy your day peeps x
  • We had a spendy day yesterday - we went out to the pub to watch a band which was great fun. Luckily I don't have a bad head this morning as I didn't drink too much. Off to lunch at one of my DHs colleagues house later - might be great, might be awful!!!

    At least it's non spend.
    Seriously money saving

    Morning all,

I've woke up feeling very productive today so I've decided it's D-day (Diet starting day). I was looking through my holiday snaps and Christmas do pictures and I really regret the shape I'm in (especially the double chin that has made an appearance on many of the photos). One of my 2014 goals was to lose 25lbs and I hate starting on 1st January, so I'm starting today, and hoping that by posting it on here I won't give up by lunchtime!

I'm hoping for a SFD as just have chores to do today and if the weather stays this nice, I'll take the dogs on longer walks :)

Almost forgot, when I weighed myself this morning, I'm already 1lb less than when I set my 25lb target so only 24lbs to go :)
