My plan is to start the diet today (so far, so good), then allow myself "treat" meals off e.g. Christmas lunch and Christmas Eve dinner with friends. I'm hoping this way I'll turn down treats in between knowing that I can eat whatever I like on these "treat" occasions. I'm also hoping that it means I don't eat like a pig all day on the days where I know I have a meal that will ruin the diet.

    Hope that makes sense?

That's what I thought, I could easily put on half a stone over the next 2/3 weeks if I don't have a reason to stop me eating!

Thank you to whoever recommended the Skinny Rules book by Bob Harper. I love The Biggest Loser - I've been watching it on catch up today for diet motivation :) I have just ordered a copy of the Skinny Rules using an old Am4zon voucher, so I didn't ruin my SFD :) I can't wait for it to arrive!

Hope everyone is having a great day. This thread seems really quiet today, or maybe its just that I have been sat on my iPad/laptop/phone all day.

It was brilliant, thank you! I think its the first weekend (apart from half term) that I haven't worked since September :)

Don't mention food ;) I have stuck to my diet today and my body is so confused by the lack of food compared to my usual over eating.

  • If you can't have the weekend before the end of term off, when can you? am dreading the forthcoming raft of assessment marking myself

Oh dear :( Poor you having to lots of marking at this time of year. I think I'm going to be able to have a quiet Christmas in terms of school work, which is good because I'm doing some temp work over the holidays :) Unfortunately, we have lots of assessments scheduled for January, so will be crazy busy when we get back :(

Can't wait to break up, 4 days left for me. How about you?

  • 5 days. not that i'm counting! ahahahaha. I intend to get as much done (all assessment, marking and data crunching-wise) as physically possible this week (late nights ho!) leaving Friday to teach culurally relevant lessons and then rest!

Sorry to hear about January. We'll be gearing ourselves back up again, then. What kind of temping? office? retail?

Office temping, I used to be a PA and still have a contact who can usually get me hours covering other people's annual leave :)

Well done you for planning to do it all this week! I usually try to do it in the last week to keep the holidays free but invariably I'm so worn out at the end of term that I leave some until the holidays.

Not that I'm counting but only 25 more teaching weeks until the summer holiday ;)

  • Checking in with SFD number 4. Yesterday as predicted was a spendy day -went food shopping, picked up a few toiletries, and posted a Christmas card to Spain.

Went out for lunch today - my Dad paid. We also went shopping - well I didn't buy anything - I was strong and just looked. I do need a pair of wellies for working on my allotment, but didn't buy them today as I won't be using them this week. I will buy them another time when I know I will use them (and tie it in with a spend day). I also nearly bought some wool and knitting needles, but stopped myself as I haven't finished knitting my cushion yet, so there was no need to buy more stuff.

Hoping tomorrow will be another SFD day.

    Have a good Monday everyone!
