That's number 4 for me :-) After a strict day of yoghurt and soup I am looking forward to a feast tomorrow of yoghurt, clementine, soup and 2 (maybe 3 woohoo) oatcakes and an apple :-)
Well done everyone :-) The first week is nearly done, egt organised with the batch cooking at the weekend and the office microwave comes in very handy :-)

Sounds lovely sean
Wish i could have access to a microwave/kettle. I am thinking of investing in one of those food flasks so that i can at least take soup in the car

There's some good inspiration on this thread - wish I had discovered it sooner. I've managed 2 out of 2 days this week. Totally disorganised for today but found a tin of soup and old bread in the cupboard that got me through today. Need to get off my bum and into the kitchen to make sandwiches for tomorrow!0

Urgh, I have slept sooooo much this week and I've not adjusted my routine to be orgainsed with it. I didn't think about lunch before bed last night and I got up incredibly late this morning.
I'm going to try and plan next week's lunches in advance and limit today's damage toa max of £5. I'm working late again tonight so might try and get a tesco meal deal in plus some treats in for the money
So, still only at day 3 so farApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Shortie, are you feeling better? I like the idea of planning your lunches in advance. I meal plan for evening meals, so have just extended this to include lunches as well.
grrrmich, i find it hard to bother making stuff in the evenings for the next day. In fact, last night was a prime example of that. I was so pooped by the time i finished work and went food shopping that i didnt make anything. So i have cold LO pizza for lunch todayOh bliss! That'll be a lovely lunch..not!

Hi everyone, well day 3 yesterday was tuna salad and today is cup a soup, crackers and humous and an apple (cos the fridge thief has returned and not only did he eat my ham but also my salad!! Not saying too much as he ate salad, first time for everything
).
Doing fine as this is all new to me but think I'm going to start planning a little just in case there's more fridge 'losses'. Love reading what everyone is having. I do have a microwave at work but there's no way I'd put ANYTHING in it! I've never seen it being wiped out, never mind cleaned in the three years I've been in this office.
Anyway have a good weekend folks x0 -
Jellybaby, you need someone like me in your office then - yesterday's porridge for breakfast errupted all over the place so I spent a good while cleaning my breakfast off the work mircowave. I don't doubt it ended up cleaner than it started :rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks WantToBeSE, I felt much better by Wednesday. I suspect I must have been fighting something though, just not the usual cough/cold as I had no other real symptoms other that light headedness, and now tiredness. I think left over pizza is yummy if it can be warmed
Right, I'm kicking my own butt - gonna grab a cuppa and knuckle down to a lunch menu plan, and then do food shop list off the back of this and the dinner nemu plan (we menu plan dinners anyway, but this is the first time I'll try and get my lunches organised!)April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

Do you mean there is a fridge thief at work?! How rude. I have never come across this before myself but my friend has. Once her sandwiches were in the fridge but has gone when she went to get them... they were in the bin with a bite missing .. I would fill some with chili or mustard then you may find out who or is:rotfl:
Our microwave is okish but I keep my food well covered when I microwave it and Take my own spoons which do not touch the work surface. :rotfl:Urgh, I have slept sooooo much this week and I've not adjusted my routine to be orgainsed with it. It is hard to get organized, I cook or make sandwiches the night before.. It's the only way. Maybe get some cupa soups or crisps for next week.WantToBeSE wrote: »Sounds lovely seanWish i could have access to a microwave/kettle. It does make a huge difference having a hot meal at lunchtime. I would dedicatedly invest in a foods flask...
Day 5 for me. Been lucky with treats though my colleague bought a massive box of m&s chocolate biscuits and I had quite a few of then today
Have a butternut squash to make soup with for next week's lunches..0
