I had a day off today but I forgot to say yesterday that there was free food at work! There was a big serving of free sandwiches plus some cake (not great cake but hey, it didn't cost anything). So I ate the free food instead of the food I took in, which went back home and into the fridge to be eaten next workday, which is Sunday. Yay!!! :)

Looking forward to leek and potato soup next week.
(Went to buy leeks at Asda, and none on the shelf - boohoo - imagine my delight when I found them all on the RTC shelf - 19p instead of £1 - so I bought 2 packs :) )

    Morning All :)

updated done. As always, YELL if you spot any mistakes.

I was shattered last night, fell asleep at 7pm! Woke up briefly at 11pm to lock up, and fell straight back to sleep until 8am this morning!
I feel so much better for it though.

I am going to be making sausage rolls this weekend, for next weeks lunches, and i'll also freeze some. can someone tell me how long they will last in an airtight container?

I really need to sit down with my calender and work out what dates i am working over Christmas. The agency and a few clients have started asking when i'll be available so i will email them all today. i have favourite clients that i will work for more willingly then others.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!

Re the sausage rolls, I'd say a good 4 days in the fridge and obviously loads longer in the freezer.

I'm still clueless re menu plan but some thing is forming itself.. we have Jacket Pots for dinner last night and there was a little left over bacon and cheese so I mixed them and froze two small amounts in bags. We have left over boiled pots which I'll fry up and that plus the cheese and bacon combo into wraps maybe?

There were also two small jacket pots left which are in the fridge incase anyone wants them today otherwise they're mine and in the freezer for lunches next week mwoah ha haaa

We don't have a food thief at work (well, we do, but they don't steal things like complete lunches, just squash or porridge or mugs) but once I took a sandwich and it ended up squashed at the back of the fridge. The bag was the only thing holding it together :(

    Good evening all :)

Have spent some quality time with the youngest son this evening, watching him play Minecraft (where is the rolling eyes emoticon when you need it!).

Thanks Shortie re the sausage roll time. I will wrap them up in cling film and put in an airtight container. If i make them tomorrow, they should be OK until Wednesday and then freeze any that haven't been eaten by then :)

Soworried- PLEASE PLEASE share your secret for getting the shape of your rolls just perfect? I love making bread and bread rolls, but my rolls look awful as i cant get them the right shape! I'll update you in a sec :)

I made a list of lunches for me and the youngest. The oldest is in high school and takes money. Apparently it's uncool to take a packed lunch once you get to high school :D

    lunchsize Sausage Rolls x2 days
    Ham Salad Pitta x2 days
    BLT wraps/sarnies x1 days

That is our plan for next week. I am going to look on youtube for how to keep a wrap 'wrapped' instead of unravelling when packed.

Oohh yum, those rolls look lovely

So, a bit repetitive but yesterday and tonight's dinner have given leftovers for this week's lunches, all seperated in bags in the freezer:

Mon: left over hm pizza, g dough balls and chips
Tue: j pot with cheese and crispy bacon
Wed: left over hm pizza, g dough balls and chips
Thur: j pot with cheese and crispy bacon
Fri: left over hm pizza, g dough balls and chips

They are all wonky and uneven sizes but they taste nice :o:D

I just roll them in to little balls then leave them to grow in to each other so to speak.
