Dozey Crow, veg stew sounds good, will you share the recipe please? Did you have it with anything? Bread, tatties, dumplings??

Hi, to be honest my 'stew' was more by accident then design!! Or neighbor gave us a stew pack from tesco which had onion, leek carrot and mixed beans in it.
I fried an onion and garlic add the stew pack then mushrooms, celery, extra kale, spinach and a red pepper.Ideally I would have added potato but I forgot it. Them I skillfully add a bit of stock and boil until mushy. (I know... I could give Delia a ruin for her money!!!! ;-) ). it is really nice. I made enough for three days. I take a bit of Bread with it normally.

We went to the jacket spud shop today and it was lovely. I had a really tasty spud with mushrooms in a pepper sauce for £2.50 :T. Oh and one of my colleagues had very kindly and generously provided a buffet table of biscuits, sweets, chocolate etc that she adds to every day today we had mince pies and brandy sauce  so I have had loads of haughty things today.

Oh well... Dieting is a January thing right?!:rotfl:

Jelly, have updated you. What state was the microwave in? :D

Absolutely disgusting! Even though pasta was in a container I sat it on a plate and put some cling film over the top :)

Day 7 for me in a couple of hours - tuna salad with hot spicy pickled peppers, yoghurt and some grapes. Getting hungry already ......

Hi WantToBeSE and other members, just a quick post to say thanks for keeping the LTW threads going :A

I haven't been around due to my BIL passing away suddenly, he had a diagnosis of bowel cancer and only six weeks later we were attending his funeral so it's been a total shock to everyone.

I don't think I'm going to be around in the near future but I wish you all the very best of luck and make sure you save lots of money!

    Hi everyone,

Day 7 for me today. I had a really busy day so I only had time for a very quick sandwich, two biscuits and a few handfuls of cadburys roses... Not bad hey?

Glad you like the stew recipe, my cooking is usually more accident than design :rotfl::rotfl:

I am off for two days now and so will be eating at home.

Kittiej sorry about your bil, that is so very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Also with you wtbse losing people at any time is difficult and horrible but seems worse at this time of year. Maybe because 'Christmas' is portrayed as a family time and because it trends to be dark and dismal... Whatever it is this time of year, in particular for me at least is difficult.

    Hugs
