Have a good weekend everyone x
  • Day 5 completed for me today, so thats a whole working week of bringing lunch to work with me. Although today was a bit of a cheat - as an xmas treat our company buys everyone a bacon roll, so thats what I had today. And yummy it was too!

Good evening lovely people :) i am in a VERY happy mood today. It's Friday and in 2 weeks Christmas will be over! What's not to be happy about!

I am wondering what my work schedule will be like for next week. I think (know!) i'll have extra hours, which will lovely :) I appreciated the extra £'s in my pay packet this week, so as much as i groan about working, i like the money at the end of the day!

I am going 'Big Shopping' (my weekly shop) tomorrow morning. I have to make a list of lunches from the front page, that i want to try.
Have any of you tried some that you'd recommend?

I know i will make pizza wheels and ham salad wraps, BLT.

I am seriously impressed with you all, you are doing really well.

mavvysmum- bacon rolls sounds lovely, especially since they are free :D

Jelly- crackers and cheese are the best lunch EVER. Fact. :)

Soworried- Ham and pea soup is something i have never tried before!

    Blue-hope you arent too hungry?

Cathy- Yes, the laptop has recovered :) It must be used to the cat sitting/jumping/sleeping/standing on it by now :D

I took this to work yesterday:

We had a fuddle and everybody took something different to share. I did cheese and pineapple, cheese and onion, and cheese and tomato on sticks - which was really lovely! It was quite time consuming to make, though, and was eaten in about 10 minutes.

Just finished making chicken and bacon risotto ... it's probably enough to cover all five lunches this week but I might if I get inspired make something else so I can eat it across four. It's yummy, I had a small bowl of it.
  • Curried parsnip soup this week :D Thanks to reduced parsnips at 24p :)
Haven't had this in ages so quite looking forward to it!!
