Perhaps... but I doubt it.

For all we know, she may of had a legitimate reason for appeal as well. But as she is PPRd, we will never know for sure will we?

Parking on a single yellow line can be dangerous for other road users and pedestrians. It can cause traffic disruption and accidents. Being cold is not an excuse for breaking the law, no matter what the road layout is or what the signs say.
Otherwise, I could use the "Tilt defense" as a reason to speed, drive through red lights, in fact any law which is there for the safety of me and other road users.
"Sorry office, I was doing 40 in the 30 zone because I was cold and I wanted the car engine to heat up"

Do you know, that's a bloody good question!

I tell you what, i'll ask the OP to come back and clarify that and also give more info about the location, how far he/she parked away from the school itself/whether there was anyone else in the car and anything else we can find to make it CLEAR on what circumstances he/she parked.

So I answered her question with accurate information based on the information she gave. I don't see how I got "her hopes up". The success of her appeal would depend on the information and evidence that she herself provided when making the appeal. So she would create her own "hopes"!
