How are your carpets, Kaz?
We now have carpets in all the bedrooms, lounge and stairs and landing. After months without any, it is sheer luxury!
And we are making good progress with decorating the kitchen and DR - I will undercoat the skirting and door frames later today
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Unfortunately DH's BD returned with a vengeance yesterday. He is a little better this morning so the air today is clearer. Sticks greatly appreciated.
Donna, enjoy your dish rack - I can get excited over a new dish mop!
Hugs and spoons where needed. Keep up all the good work!0 -
Its one of those days today. I'm onto my third plaster of the day on my finger, I fell asleep in the bath so was running late for collecting books for work. I've still not been out for a second time like I normally do as I've been dealing with other work things and speaking to ex about DD
I just realised the time as I'm really hungry so I'm having a very quick lunch then going to go out for the second time. No flying here yet, except for tidying up and putting tea in the slowcooker!
Hoping to get some stuff done this afternoon but thats looking less and less likely.:( :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Got a fair bit done today, DD room is all glossed and her door only needs one more coat and it can be re-hung this weekend... then it's onto our bedroom door... good job I don't mind glossing the amount I'm having to do!
My bathroom is sparklingand it's is the only room actually decorated so bonus, added get blinds to my list, so it will be completely done... I have looked but the I think 24" width and there's two in there.. I was wanting bamboo blinds but can't find the correct sizes... but TBH I haven't spent a great deal of time looking...
If it's gone it's done
Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms- Write those christmas cards and sort stamps for those to be posted – Added to my list
- Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it
- Check house for places where draughts are getting in such as doors, windows etc and see if there are ways to stop it
My Own List
Gloss door x3 – (DD room door) Done twice
Prime downstairs doors x4
Gloss DD room – DONE
clean DD walls, fill in any holes, cracks
Buy Crimbo Cards
Bank cheques
Do finance - Nov
Plan crimbo shop
Order some coats hooks
Order some bathroom blinds / or nets
I'm not going to overwhelm myself, so this is what I'd like to get done – If I don't then so be it!0 -
44 biccies made and decorated! Phew! 3 dozen can go to school and the others are little Xmas trees with leftover dough. DD has iced them and put mini smarties "baubles" on
and some green shimmer sprinkles. They look quite nice.
Some of the school ones were a little, ahem, [STRIKE]over done[/STRIKE] "golden" so got coated in chocolatewe did pinch some of the chocs and DD has eaten some sprinkles, but we have managed to keep our mitts off the biccies!
Have been WUP as I go so not too much devastation in the kitchen.
Hairdresser sorted for tomorrow after school.Bossymoo

had a phone call someone is coming round later to look at the heater timer so i've tidied the kitchen in readiness, DH moved a section of the work surface while he was here at lunchtime as the timer clock sat slightly behind it. think well need a new clock as that one is quite old so cant see it being repairable i think its just old age.
going to box my craft fayre clutter now and maybe start the ironingSPC~12 ot 124

OptoMum: The Christmas tree doesn't go up until a couple of weekends before C in this house. OH and I do it together and he only takes time off on weekends. It comes down on January 6/12th Night/his birthday and is an 'event.'
I can knit a mohair cat blanket or a scarf. That's it. I have realised that I use the long tail method of casting on and didn't realise there was another! Destressing vibes for Dusty, and coping and healing vibes for RP and boydog.
Belated birthday greetings for Ionafan, together with a gift-wrapped bundle of sticks for Mr Ionafan.
The bicarbonate of soda is slowly being extracted from the ice maker. I won't be using that cleaning method again. The breadmaker is making a nasty noise. Grr. Kitchen getting a seeing-to and food that might have gone past its best is being salvaged.Better is good enough.0 -
Dailies done..
Cat stuff done
Living room done.
Shopping done and put away.
Jazee Thanks. I have to go every 6 weeks and get it suctioned As it doesn't shift itself. Can't wait to get it done.
Xmas lights being switched on here tonight. It's only round from my house so might nip out and see it as various activities on. Not so bothered about the actor who is doing the switching on.0 -
Jeans wash done (Mr LW lives in jeans when he's not in his office attire); also done a thorough Dyson Tango, in case Amber (due to arrive 10:30 tomorrow for a 2-night stay) happens to be vacuum-phobic - it's surprising how many dogs are! Also been round with the duster-onna-stick and done what I can without lifting anything heavy - such as large Dragons.
Ionafanbelated birthday greetings:beer: - sorry, I was a bit frazzled yesterday as there were plumbers sorting out a dodgy pipe behind the loo, and Mr LW was at work, so I had to cope with them alone; hence I missed taking in that it was your birthday.
Hoping RP got on ok at the vet's.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
