Morning all. I can't report on any flying other than dailies being done here over the last few days, but challenge is almost complete as I'm now waiting delivery of DD's bedding and curtains. Just need to find a light fitting.

Boddy, hope your ear gets better soon.

Hope everyone else is ok too.

I've been doing finances this morning as it's pay day, and I have £350 to buy DD, DS and their partners Xmas presents, so that will focus the brain later when I take a look at their lists.

    Right paid stuff now.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Hi all - trying to resist a black Thursday deal later today but might just have to look and see what a bargain it is when the time comes around!!

Dentists later this morning so hope not held up. Because of that I am planning bitty jobs like washing and bedding, laundry room (tiny) etc and my nemesis - paper "frog eating".

Have decided that I probably will not achieve my optimistic challenge for November - but aim to have decluttered all the main rooms into the smallest one ready for CBS or ebay and cover it all up with a big cloth (then it is just one item lol! ). I will have winter cleaned them all by end of Saturday too.

Paper folders and box files will be returned to where they belong and the rest of the "rubbish" (polite word!) put into one box in the hall where I can see it and I will then eat it a little at a time in the run up to Xmas.

I keep thinking it didn't accumulate in three weeks so won't go away so quickly!:o

Have a productive day everyone and hugs etc to all needing them xx

Remember their % saved is from the RRP NOT from the last price they were selling it.. I was looking at a cheap mobile yesterday to replace DD2's broken one.. rrp £70 Amazon price £30 reduced to... £20 .. 28% off..

    Todays vitals..

    WM x 1,000,000
    DW x 2
2x ebay parcels to post, 1 to refund... I washed it and a mark somehow appeared, just on the one item, nothing else was marked!
List another few items suitable as Christmas presents.

    finish front of Pixie jumper
Hopefully wrap a box or 2 of Christmas stuff.. I have zero enthusiasm for wrapping at the moment.

:rudolf: Carpet fitter will be here in an hour :D.
DD has to be at the sea cadet unit at 7am Sunday morning for a football tournament. DH and I will have a really good shovel out of the house and reorganise our space.
I managed to get all of DS's board games off the top of his wardrobe yesterday and they are now all in the big cupboard. They're not right but I can see there is ample space in there.
DH has agreed to put a curtain across the door between the kitchen and dining room. The cat was cold the other night so stayed inside asleep. I suddenly realised that it was toasty in here because the door was shut. She pushes it open to get through and needs to be able to get in and out so a thick curtain it is then.
I didn't get to the utility cupboard yesterday and my hip's hurting too much to be bending down to sort it out. I'll have to get it heated up in there a little bit tomorrow with the expensive wall heater and can then try and sort it.

I'm actually excited as this is the final bit of renovation to our ouse. Now it's at the stage where normal people start their d!cor! If we need to decorate, we can just go in, empty, paint and put back :D.

    morning all :)
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the advice some of you gave me at the start of the week about jumping in and giving this a go. I know it's early days but I'm really seeing and feeling a difference already. I don't think I'm doing that much extra cleaning wise- because basically with work and kids etc there is only so much time available, but I'm much more focused.

Yesterday was a manic day with work all day then running around being an unpaid taxi service etc in the evening so need to catch up today if poss.

Ive treated myself to a new dish rack for the draining board to make it look more sparkly and lovely in the kitchen - is that just way too sad!?! lol

    I don't think it's sad, Donna!
DH was complaining about the state of the house on Saturday before DD's party. It took the four of us an hour to get it all sorted and ready to roll with the table set up and the party games ready. No more all day cleaning sessions in preparation for visitors :).
