We are all on form this afternoon!

Kids already in bed and I've finished up in the kitchen. Ironing done and all put away, I just need to de bobble two knits and put DS pe kit in his bag.

Aww he did his reading tonight, and after bedtime story when putting DD to bed I could hear him spelling out words from "the gruffalo", bless him.

They opened advent calendars, met their new elf friends (who are currently having "tea" with the mouse and the gruffalo) and DS told DD they are magic elves. Then asked me "but are they toys mum?" :D I said "yes of course, but they are still magic at night time"

So, cup of tea for me, and not late to bed. Slept heaps better last night but still feel a bit behind...

    Caught quite a bit today.
    Dailies done.
    Bedroom and bathroom done.

Just done a load of wrapping. I don't like wrapping but thought I better get some done. Didnt get it all done as my back was aching.Had to wrestle the cat from the under bed storage.

I have just spent 5 hours working on my window :rotfl: I've done all the outlines in a black whiteboard pen and tomorrow I'll paint over those lines. I had to stop as it got dark and I couldn't see what I was doing. I also started painting snow and icicles as they'll take quite a few coats to get opaque. Doing my best to remember that I have to do everything in reverse, all the fine detail of eyebrows, smiling mouths, black outlines within things need to be done first so that when I paint the solid colours they're already outlined and neat from outside. I think the hardest thing is going to be doing Santas sleigh as its this one and its a lot more complicated than last years! I foresee the use of cocktail sticks as paintbrushes and a lack of elf on it!

DD is home, she's currently unpacking, making her bed and getting her uniform out for tomorrow. We're having Christmas tree shaped crumpets for tea :D

I was planning on running errands tomorrow but realised I'm working tomorrow afternoon (and evening) plus I want to get the window done so I'll run errands Tuesday instead as DD has extra choir practice as far as we know ;) Working Wednesday as I'm at parents evening Thursday which means leaving here approx 3.30pm (and I'll want a bath etc so I don't embarrass DD), so I have a feeling most of the flying will be getting done on Friday again :o I would like to put the rest of the decorations up this week but it's looking like that might not happen until the weekend!

Off to chase DD who seems to have gotten lost upstairs again.

We went to the Swedish store again today and managed to get a shoe rack. Had a text from DD at 2.30 saying they were an hour and a half from home (meaning they would be back an hour early). We stopped at a garden centre on the way to have a nosy and DS asked if we could get a hot chocolate. Thankfully, I didn't have my watch on so had to get my phone out and saw 2 missed messages from her, the last 5 minutes before saying they were back at the unit . It was only 3pm and they were supposed to be back at 5 at the earliest . We were half an hour from home  so we had to dump our shopping (sorry for whoever had to put it back but it was only 3 items) and hurry back.
I felt terrible for her. She was fine though.
House sparkling, carpet man came at 10.30 and sorted out the step. We have got a curtain pole for the kitchen and the mats for the front door.
I'm back to work tomorrow night and working on a new ward and our poor iPad won't charge :(.

Congratulations optimum, you thought he'd be early didn't you? I wondered where you were on Friday.
Right, must dash.... off to wrap the gifts and write the cards :D.

Off we go into December. We used to have a rule many years ago on flylady which was new week, new start, no carrying over leftover tasks. Some of you have very long lists, so unless it is absolutely urgent, ditch it and start a fresh.
