:rudolf: Well done CY, Skinty and everyone else who has completed the November challenge. I haven't quite managed to empty 20 packing cases, even if I were to count the mattress bags - I think my final total was about 15 - but I have finished all the painting up to the point where I want to leave it all to dry before the vinyl flooring is laid on Monday.
Today has been non-stop. I gt up at 6.30 to paint the skirting boards in 3 rooms, then we were out at a day conference (which DH attended for the full day), but then I had dress rehearsal for our choir concert from 2 to 5 pm. I found just enough time to cook a meal for us between getting home and going out again for the actual concert, and we didn't get home until 10.15 pm. I've had a drink and pudding and caught up with the news and the list, and now I'm shattered. Tomorrow will be more furniture tetris as we clear the kitchen, dining room, hall and bathroom. The rest of the unpacking will have to wait until Tuesday and Wednesday0 -

Lovely news, opti-mum, enjoy your babymoon!
I slept like a baby last night (no night feeds or nappy changes though :rotfl:) and I'm feeling SO much better today. Getting up in a min to spend some time with my kids as I was bedded all yesterday, and will potter and get some jobs done while I'm at it.
I hope you all get a yummy choc in your advent calendars this morningxx

Welcome to the world, opti-baby, and many congratulations to opti-mum and your OH! You sound very organised :T
I've spent the past hour sorting out party games to play tomorrow evening at the meeting of our Old Wives group (formerly Young Wives, but we're all in our 50s/60s/70s now:rotfl:). I should have been doing a talk on family history and my errant ancestor, and the group was going to come here for a housewarming - but I still can't get to all the stuff I need to illustrate my talk, and with the flooring only being laid tomorrow, the place is still in such a state that I've postponed the group visit until the new year. Instead, we will meet in our usual room, and I will bake (or buy) some German Advent biscuits and a cake and make up some simple table decorations and silly little gifts. It will still be fun, and far less hassle0
